Easygo is the Australian technology powerhouse behind global brands Stake, KICK, and Twist Gaming. As we continue to grow our presence in Serbia, we’re expanding our local Finance team and looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join us in Belgrade.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of key accounting and statutory compliance activities for our Serbian entities, while collaborating with our global Finance team in Melbourne on group reporting and broader finance initiatives.

You’ll play an important role in strengthening our local finance operations — improving processes and controls, supporting the localisation of our systems, and helping us build scalable ways of working as the business continues to grow.

The Role

As Senior Accountant, you’ll be a key member of our local Finance team, responsible for ensuring our day-to-day accounting operations, reporting, and statutory requirements are handled accurately and on time.

The role combines hands-on accounting with broader responsibilities across compliance, reporting, systems, and process improvement. You’ll work with both local and global stakeholders, as well as external partners and authorities, giving you plenty of ownership and exposure in a fast-growing international business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Month-End Close: Own the monthly, quarterly and annual close: journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Group Reporting: Prepare financial statements and group reporting packs under IFRS in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.
  • Statutory Compliance: Take full ownership of Serbian statutory compliance: annual financial statements under the Law on Accounting and filings with the Serbian Business Registers Agency (SBRA), the local chart of accounts, VAT returns, e-invoicing via SEF (e-Faktura), the corporate income tax return and tax balance, and withholding tax.
  • Day-to-Day Operations: Run day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations and fixed assets.
  • Authorities Liaison: Communicate with tax, statistics and registration authorities in relation to local reporting.
  • Intercompany: Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions.
  • Audit & Advisors: Act as the main point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors and local authorities.
  • ERP Ownership: Maintain and optimize our ERPs (Pantheon/NetSuite) and drive their localization for Serbian requirements — local chart of accounts mapping, VAT tax codes, SEF integration and statutory reports.
  • Controls & Mentoring: Strengthen internal controls, improve and automate processes, and mentor junior team members.

Who You Are

  • Education: University degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
  • Experienced Accountant: 10+ years of progressive accounting or corporate finance experience — an IT, Gaming or FinTech background is a strong plus.
  • Serbian Compliance Expert: Proven hands-on experience with Serbian accounting and tax legislation and statutory reporting (Law on Accounting, APR filings, VAT, corporate income tax, SEF/eFaktura).
  • International Standards: Deep understanding of international reporting standards.
  • Excel Skills: Good knowledge of Excel.

Bonus points if you also have:

  • ERP Localization: Experience localizing an international, Oracle-based ERP such as NetSuite for the Serbian market — local chart of accounts, VAT tax codes, SEF e-invoicing integration and parallel group/statutory reporting.
  • Professional Qualification: ACCA, CPA or a Serbian accounting license.
  • Industry Knowledge: Sports, gambling or cryptocurrency knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Everyday Tools: Proficient with Google Suite (Drive, Spreadsheets, Docs), Slack and Jira.
