As an EBANX frontend developer you will be responsible for:
- Designing, building, and maintaining intuitive and high-performing web interfaces used by merchants and customers around the world;
- Writing accessible, responsive, and well-documented code using modern front-end frameworks;
- Performing thorough code reviews and mentoring peers on front-end best practices;
- Contributing to the evolution of our design system and ensuring consistency across platforms;
- Collaborating closely with Designers, PMs, and other engineering teams;
- Playing a key role in strategic projects that shape the future of EBANX’s digital experience;
- Continuously improving our front-end architecture to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance.
What is indispensable for the job?
- Proven experience developing and deploying production-grade front-end applications;
- Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), and one or more modern frameworks (preferably React);
- Deep understanding of component-based architecture, state management, and design patterns;
- Familiarity with front-end build tools and workflows (Webpack etc);
- Familiarity with testing tools and practices for front-end (Jest, Testing Library, Cypress etc);
- Knowledge of accessibility standards, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility;
- Expertise in git or any other collaborative version control system;
- A great ability to learn new practices, technologies, programming languages and absorbing engineering culture;
What would be a plus?
- Passion for software, you go to sleep and wake up thinking about how to make that part of the system more elegant or efficient;
- Advanced English, we have customers from all around the world and it is commonplace for us to speak and write English when helping, supporting and writing specifications with them;
- Understanding of performance optimization techniques (e.g. lazy loading, code splitting);
- Experience working with design systems and component libraries;
- A keen eye for design and usability—even if you’re not a designer;
- Passion for web standards and keeping up with front-end trends and technologies.
- Experience with deploying to and monitoring a cloud infrastructure especially AWS.
- Expertise in at least one backend programming language;
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases;
- Test driven development: you don't even remember how to code without a very extensive test coverage; You often write the tests first and then the code.
