Tax Compliance Manager (LATAM) oversees the end-to-end statutory tax obligations across a diverse portfolio including Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timely filing of direct and indirect tax returns, managing complex cross-border reporting requirements, and maintaining rigorous internal controls to mitigate regional fiscal risks. Acting as a strategic liaison between local finance teams and corporate leadership, the manager monitors evolving legislative changes in each jurisdiction to ensure full adherence to local tax codes while optimizing the company’s regional tax posture and managing external audits.
 

Your day-to-day impact:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing LATAM Tax Compliance team, setting clear priorities, goals, and fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement;
  • Own end-to-end tax compliance across multiple LATAM jurisdictions, ensuring timely and accurate filings for direct and indirect taxes (VAT, WHT, CIT, and local taxes);
  • Manage tax audits and interactions with local authorities, assessing risks, tracking contingencies, and ensuring strong documentation and audit readiness;
  • Partner with business, product, and regulatory teams to support new payment flows, ensuring accurate tax treatment and compliance in operational structures;
  • Drive process excellence by standardizing compliance frameworks, implementing scalable controls, and identifying automation opportunities across the region;
  • Manage external tax advisors, ensuring consistency in technical positions, quality of deliverables, and cost efficiency;
  • Maintain compliance dashboards and reporting, tracking KPIs, deadlines, risks, and providing visibility to Tax Leadership;

Must-haves to shine in this role:

  • Proven experience leading and developing tax teams, ideally across multiple LATAM countries;
  • Strong background in LATAM tax compliance, including direct and indirect taxes;
  • Solid experience managing tax audits and dealing with local tax authorities across the region;
  • Experience with tax credits recoverability and statutory obligations management;
  • Ability to navigate complex, fast-paced environments with a high level of ownership and accountability;
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to partner cross-functionally;

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience in fintech, payments, or fast-scaling technology companies;
  • Experience driving process standardization, automation, and building scalable compliance frameworks;
  • Familiarity with multi-entity structures and cross-border transaction models in LATAM;
