Summary 

Echo Neurotechnologies is developing novel Brain Computer Interface (BCI) products to restore autonomy to people living with disabilities and to improve quality of life. We are seeking a Sr. Hardware Engineer with a strong background in Electrical Engineering to verify the Echo hardware system. The candidate will be responsible for evaluating custom Echo hardware devices and subsystems. The candidate will also drive development and implementation of custom test systems for design verification testing. 

Primary Role and Responsibilities 

  • Develop test protocols, implement design verification testing, oversee testing with vendors 
  • Plan and execute compliance testing 
  • Influence device architecture and hardware design through regulatory and test strategy input 
  • Develop electromechanical test systems for characterizing and testing hardware devices 
  • Perform analysis of test data, author technical reports, oversee test reports from vendors 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field 
  • Minimum 7 years of industry experience in engineering electro-mechanical hardware devices 
  • Experience with electromechanical class III medical device compliance testing 
  • Experience analyzing data from physical systems 
  • Experience working within a quality system 

Other Qualifications 

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field 
  • Strong collaboration mindset 
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills 
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Occasional travel to vendors (<10%)  

Salary

$160,000 - $200,000 USD
