Echodyne offers its radars to companies working in Automotive, Transportation, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Border Security, Smart Cities, Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Airspace Management including Urban Air Mobility (UTM).


Echodyne is seeking an Account Sales Representative with defense sales experience to join our fast-growing team.

CORE PURPOSE

  • Support the company’s efforts to sell products or services to the assigned accounts, following all federal acquisition rules.
  • Assist in building and maintaining relationships with Account personnel, program offices, and contracting officers.
  • Perform research, client outreach, documentation, and proposal support.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Contribute to Account Strategy and Planning
      • Expanding the existing base
      • Identifying and engaging new prospects and customers
      • Tactical plan to engage
    • Growing pipeline
      • Looking for new initiatives, programs, opportunities (SAM.gov, other searches)
      • Track RFI’s/RFP’s/RFQ’s
      • Identifying net new POC’s in target areas
      • Prospecting and cold calling
    • Increase Awareness work with teammate To:
      • Identify relevant events, conferences, shows, etc.
      • Ensure that key partners have the tools and materials needed to extend sales efforts
      • Provide collected feedback to DoD and Marketing teams
      • Prospecting and cold calling
    • Customer Engagement (Entry Level)
      • Assist in introducing products or services to assigned accounts’ military units.
      • Participate in meetings, briefings, and demos alongside senior sales staff.
      • Build early-stage relationships with assigned accounts' points of contact.
    • Market & Requirements Research
      • Research Account missions, units, budgets, and needs.
      • Track relevant RFPs, RFIs, and government opportunities.
    • Proposal & Contract Support
      • Help prepare:
        • Capability statements
        • Technical documentation
        • Proposal sections
        • Pricing support
      • Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS (usually under leadership and legal supervision).
    • Administrative & Coordination Tasks
      • Maintain CRM records and contact lists.
      • Schedule meetings, demos, and site visits.
      • Support tradeshow or conference participation (AFA, industry days, etc.)
    • Product Knowledge Development
      • Learn the company’s solutions well enough to explain basic benefits.
      • Understand how they apply to the assigned accounts' missions (logistics, training, ISR, etc.).

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • Experience selling into the US Defense Industry or US Government 
  • Proven track record of capturing net-new business 
  • Organized and detail-oriented with excellent follow-up skills 
  • Demonstrated technical acumen and the ability to articulate technical concepts 
  • Ability to develop a sales territory plan that aligns with the overall corporate strategic plan  
  • Excellent forecasting and qualification skills 
  • Experienced in owning meetings/presentations at executive levels 
  • Demonstrated success selling into large, cross-functional programs 
  • Ability to travel up to 50% 

DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE 
(Looking for one or more as a complement to the core skills)
 

  • Bachelor of Science degree; preferably in Engineering/Science discipline (with MBA a plus) 
  • Experience selling physical security solutions and hardware 
  • Experience selling to and through value added partners/integrators 
  • Experience selling into the US Government 
  • Solid understanding of government procurement processes, FARS, DFARS, federal contracting and contract vehicles, regulations and teaming agreements 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 years (minimum) of full-cycle, complex field sales.
  • 2 years of experience selling into the Department of Defense.

WHAT WE OFFER

The pay range for this position is a base salary of $140,000 per year plus commission.

This is an exempt position.
