DeFi / Capital Markets Lead

Remote

Reporting to the Head of Growth and Marketing, the DeFi / Capital Markets Lead will play a crucial role in growing Eclipse’s burgeoning DeFi ecosystem.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of work experience working on a DeFi protocol and/or a blockchain protocol with a noteworthy DeFi ecosystem
  • A robust understanding of incentive mechanisms (yield/emissions) to be able to facilitate arrangements between new DeFi protocols and liquidity providers as well as help structure incentive mechanisms
  • An extensive network of relationships with Market Makers, LPs, and whales
  • Deep understanding of crypto market liquidity dynamics, relationships, and market structure across centralized and decentralized exchanges combined with an ability to manage liquidity needs across ecosystem
  • Strong intellectual curiosity in crypto and the industry’s trends
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to handle multiple work streams at once
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Personable and enjoys talking to both DeFi developers as well as institutional funds and on-chain degens; in short, a people person with high EQ and range
  • Enjoys travel and is open to several, extended business trips a year
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Ecosystem team to bring in more DeFi protocols to deploy on top of Eclipse and deliver compelling products to end users—your KPI’s are capital/liquidity onboarded and interesting yield opportunities on Eclipse
  • Run Eclipse’s capital markets strategy and maintain close relationships with liquidity providers and market makers
  • Travel to key business regions to build in-person relationships with developers/LPs and expand Eclipse’s book of business
  • Strategize on the cadence and caliber of Eclipse’s native new asset issuance

What to expect in this role

To give you a clear picture of our growth philosophy and what this role entails, the hiring manager shared the following

  • You will focus on sustainable, long-term ecosystem growth. While explosive short-term growth can look impressive, it often leads to unsustainable cycles. Your role will center on strategies that drive real, lasting adoption rather than relying on fleeting incentive structures.

  • You will have the resources you need to execute effectively. We are well-funded, have already built core DeFi primitives (with perps on the way), and have a strong pipeline of upcoming native asset issuances. You won’t be fighting for scraps—you’ll have everything necessary to make an impact.

  • You will work in a focused, high-autonomy environment. There won’t be unnecessary people management responsibilities or marketing tasks pulling you away from your core work. Your time will be spent on DeFi deployments and growth strategy, not on unrelated distractions.

  • You will be part of a team that values discipline over hype. Many DeFi projects suffer from unsustainable emissions and short-term thinking. Here, we’ve intentionally avoided that. Our approach to bootstrapping is methodical, and we scaled the company deliberately instead of overhiring. You’re joining a team that is thoughtful about long-term success.

  • You will have an existing content engine to amplify your impact. As you onboard new DeFi deployments and drive growth, you won’t have to start from scratch in telling the story. We already have strong content distribution channels to help evangelize the work you do.

If this challenge excites you, we’d love to have you on board. Learn more about Eclipse: 📊 Data | 🎯 Vision | 🛠️ Technical Roadmap

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
