DevOps Team Lead

We are seeking an experienced Team Lead to lead the DevOps team. Along with the deployment and runtime systems, the DevOps team is also responsible for the CI/CD pipelines and the core infrastructure of the Trading platform. As a Team Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how we manage our production environment globally — combining hands-on technical leadership with strategic oversight to drive operational excellence.

The position is primarily located in Hong Kong; however, we welcome applications from overseas candidates as well. For those qualified candidates who are considering relocating to Hong Kong, we offer relocation assistance and sponsorship for a work visa.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Lead, mentor, and train DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuous learning.
• Drive the DevOps strategy, technical roadmap and execution across our global trading production environment, ensuring system uptime, scalability, and performance.
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid, secure, and reliable software delivery.
• Lead improvements in automation, deployment workflows, and monitoring systems, reducing manual effort and increasing system robustness and agility.
• Ensure production readiness for new exchanges, trading strategies, and infrastructure changes, coordinating across development, trading, and infrastructure teams.
• Represent the team in leadership forums, advocating for production priorities, and aligning team objectives with broader business goals.

What you offer

• University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years work experience in a DevOps, Systems Engineering or similar role and proven success leading technical operations, SRE, or production engineering teams in real-time or low-latency environments.
• Modern deployment system and orchestration experience and associated CI/CD tooling.
• Strong development skills in Python, Golang and shell scripting.
• Demonstrated experience defining and managing SLAs/SLOs, with a data-driven approach to improving reliability and performance.
• Comfortable leading incident response in high-pressure scenarios and building systems that prevent recurrence.
• Exposure to high-frequency trading or low-latency financial systems is a strong plus.
• Skilled communicator who can align business and technical stakeholders, provide clarity under pressure, and drive cross-functional collaboration.
• Passionate about coaching, developing, and retaining top engineering talent.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
