Director – Air Quality Growth
EDGE Engineering and Science is currently seeking a Managing Director – Air Quality Growth to take a leading role at EDGE. Responsible for supporting clients within one or more industrial sectors, you will take a lead role in maintaining our existing client base whilst developing new business.

Role Overview
We are seeking an accomplished senior air quality professional to serve as Managing Director – Air Quality Growth, responsible for expanding and scaling our established Air Quality Practice nationwide.
This is a growth-focused leadership role, designed for a senior practitioner who wants to build markets, deepen client relationships, and shape the future of an air quality practice.
The Managing Director will partner with an internally focused Managing Director who oversees staffing, execution, quality, and operational performance. Together, these roles form a dual-engine leadership model supporting sustainable, profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Practice Growth & Market Leadership
- Develop and execute a national growth strategy for air quality services.
- Identify priority markets, industries, and service lines (e.g., refining, petrochemical, manufacturing, terminals, power, LNG, emerging air programs).
- Drive new client acquisition and expansion of existing client relationships.
- Serve as senior client relationship manager for strategic accounts.
Revenue Generation
- Lead business development efforts with clear revenue and growth targets.
- Personally originate and close new work.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
- Represent the firm in high-level client discussions and negotiations.
Platform & Team Building
- Recruit, attract, and retain senior-level air quality practitioners.
- Participate in shaping future organizational structure and leadership succession.
- Collaborate with the CDO to ensure staffing scalability aligns with growth.
- Mentor rising technical and market leaders.
Brand & Market Presence
- Enhance the firm’s external profile through industry leadership, speaking engagements, conferences, and professional associations.
- Support development of differentiated service offerings and thought leadership.
- Strengthen the firm’s reputation as a premier air quality consulting practice.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of air quality consulting experience.
- Proven track record of revenue generation and client development.
- Established industry relationships within regulated industrial sectors.
- Experience leading or building air quality practices, teams, or markets.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local air quality regulatory programs.
- Recognized technical or market credibility within the industry.
