JOB OVERVIEW:

The Insurance Client Service Coordinator role is a great opportunity to get one's foot in the door to a career in the insurance industry! This position interacts with customers and employees as the first point of contact to provide requested information, and assists with other projects as needed by different business lines. 

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Curiosity and an eagerness to learn! Insurance industry experience is nice to have but not required. The team can teach the important aspects of the industry, but ideal candidates will love learning, be a self-starter & enjoy variety in their work.
  • Eagerness to grow! While there is a lot to teach and learn in this role, it also provides a great opportunity for employees to learn what their insurance career opportunities are, and grow into those career paths in time. 
  • Candidates with strong, professional communication skills – both written and verbal. Ideal candidates can successfully pivot between providing detailed and accurate written communication, as well as picking up the phone and having a detailed verbal conversation.
  • High attention to detail, and the ability to learn and understand software systems quickly.
  • Candidates who adapt well to priority changes, deadlines, and can multi-task and manage projects well.
  • Positive and outgoing disposition, eager to work as a team but also functions well working independently.
  • Candidates able to work full-time in our Birmingham, AL office – 5 days a week (Monday – Friday). (Exact address is: 2720 3rd Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35233)

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

A detailed list of job duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide support to Account Coordinators in the processing of commercial lines insurance policies 
  • Entering information into the agency management system 
  • Requesting and processing policy change requests 
  • Issuing certificates of insurance, evidence of property, and auto identification cards 
  • Responsibility for processing audits, endorsements, cancellations and other non-renewal items including checking/verifying coverages and entering complete detail into Sagitta 
  • Create Page Marks & Page Descriptions in Imaging System 
  • Print schedules needed as part of renewal marketing process 
  • Issue Bonds 
  • Order Motor Vehicle Reports for Company Use 
  • Direct accountability for researching and resolving customer inquiries as it relates to policyholder maintenance. 

 

WHAT YOU'LL BRING: 

  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Prior customer service, office administration, and/or insurance experience is required
  • A current Insurance Property & Casualty license is necessary OR you must be willing and able to obtain this license within 90 days of hire 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products 
  • Previous Agency Management systems experience a plus, Vertafore/Sagitta preferred 
  • Previous Document Imaging systems experience a plus, Vertafore/ImageRight preferred 
  • Must be detail oriented, excel in a fast-paced environment, able to meet deadlines, work with a sense of urgency and have excellent customer service skills 

COMPENSATION:

The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
