Commercial Insurance Placement Assistant
LOCATION: Hybrid to Melville, NY (2 days a week)
JOB OVERVIEW:
This Insurance Placement Assistant will assist the Commercial Placement team with new business submissions and projects. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide support for specialization programs and projects:
- Review submission information detail for accuracy.
- Entry of New Business Accounts into Agency Management System/Salesforce.
- Generation of ACORD applications from Agency Management System.
- Filing Correspondence, Quotations, Underwriting Info, etc.
- Preparation of Statement of Values spreadsheets.
- Preparation of Loss Summaries.
- Set up insurance proposals with entry of policy/quotation information
- Prepare Finance Agreements as needed.
- Coordinate binding subjectivity paperwork (ACORD Forms, Affidavits, etc.
- Project information entry and oversight.
- Pull reports for internal and carrier meetings.
- Scheduling of meetings as needed.
- Perform other related support duties as requested.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
- Microsoft Office programs and Teams
- Strong attention to detail and time management abilities.
- Strong ability to multi-task and assign priority.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment as well as independently.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral.
- Experience with Agency Management Systems preferred (we use Sagitta).
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- One+ years insurance agency experience preferred but not required.
- Salesforce experience is a plus
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Valid Driver License required.
- Insurance License (NOTE: If not licensed must obtain insurance license within 3 months).
The national average salary for this role is $60,000 to $65,000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
