Job Overview:
The Sr Treasury Analyst – Tech & Ops is a key role within the Galway Holdings Treasury. This individual should have a broad treasury skillset and will be responsible for providing support for core treasury operations activities including bank account management, cash management, cash forecasting, various treasury reporting requirements, as well as system implementations, system admin support and daily technical systems support work. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

How you will make a difference:

  • Galway uses the Kyriba TMS and this role will help support the Treasurer and Treasury Tech Lead in the implementation strategy and roadmap. Including but not limited to:
    o Gathering business requirements, design options and managing the project plan with the vendor’s implementation team.
    o Collaborate with subject matter experts across internal business lines to gather and align requirements and integration options with other internal systems.
    o Manage the testing and issue resolution needs during all phases of the implementation.
    o Develop/Code custom reports and metrics using Kyriba
    o Provide training and assistance to other users of the platform.
  • Perform cash management activities for various Galway companies including:
    o Daily cash positioning and analysis
    o Providing funding and short-term investment recommendations
    o Executing and confirming transfers where needed
    o Ongoing reporting of balances and forecasting including:
    • Assisting in bi-weekly cash forecast process and comparison for management review.
    • Assist in the development and actioning of short- and long-term cash forecasting, planning and reporting..
  • Serve as a system administrator for various Treasury platforms.
  • Assist the Treasury Lead in monthly bank fee analyses and present findings to the Treasurer.
  • Provide continual support on other process improvement opportunities for the treasury function which may include additional technology implementations and ongoing improvements.
  • Support management of debt related payments/notifications, interest rate hedge operations, and investment analysis.
  • Provide support on daily cash disbursements and other Treasury operations banking activities.
  • Support Banking Administration and support tasks including bank account setup, banking KYC, account signatory updates, maintenance of banking relationship grids, banking fees reviews, and other bank service issues.
  • Support the development of policies, procedures, and control activities, as well as any reporting to management and internal or external control/audit teams.
  • Assist in the creation of team and management metrics and reporting for the Treasury function.
  • Experience with FP&A processes, ERP systems and booking of general ledger transactions is a plus.
  • Experience with Data Analysis & BI reporting tools is a plus.
  • Provide backup support to team members as needed.

Education/Training:

  • B.A. degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required; MBA preferred.
  • 5-7+ years of Treasury Operations including cash management & forecasting, banking, systems and process experience in a Treasury function.
  • 1-3+ years of experience with implementing a Treasury Management system and/or designing and creating reports using TMS or BI reporting software.
  • Previous supervisor or team lead experience a plus.
  • A Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) would be a plus.
  • Direct experience in insurance services, financial services, or insurance companies would also be a plus.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience with systems implementation, system testing and project management experience is a plus.
  • High level of intellectual curiosity and analytical skills, including scenario planning, problem solving, financial management, strategic agility and risk / return analysis
  • Strong track record of developing and implementing continuous process improvements in Treasury Cash/Debt and operations functions.
  • Experience in the development and management of short- and long-term cash forecasting, planning and reporting using a treasury system.
  • Experience in reviewing investment options to maximize profitability in the Treasury function through the creative use of data, analytics and negotiations with financial institutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Treasury processes specifically related to insurance / insurance brokerage companies.
  • Experience in working with Banking partners on account structures, KYC, product and service reviews, as well as the analysis of banking fee structures and cost related to services.
  • Background in the development or implementation of policies, procedures, and control activities, as well as working with internal or external control/audit teams.
  • Team player who maintains close communication and working relationships with key individuals to solve problems and provide support and solutions.
  • Ability to operate at a high level independently but also possesses a “hands-on” nature to carry out detailed actions and deliver high-quality work.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including relationship management, communication, , planning, presentation, motivation and lets also have some fun.

COMPENSATION: 

The national average salary for this role is $125 000.00 - $145 000.00 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
