JOB OVERVIEW:
Come join our Premier Personal Lines Insurance team! This is an exciting opportunity to step into a new role, new office location, and build a top-notch team! Currently, most of our personal lines team members are based in the Northeast and southern Indiana. We are expanding to build out a new team in the Twin Cities!
The Personal Insurance - Associate Client Advocate is a junior-level role, great for early-career insurance professionals, or individuals looking to start a career in insurance. This is NOT a sales role; it's a service & support role.
Associate Client Advocates will learn essential skills necessary to work in our call center environment. The focus will be on quality not quantity – our team averages 10-15 calls per day, which allows for an advisory, relationship-driven approach.
This role is designed to build personal insurance expertise, top-notch customer service skills, and contribute to essential administrative tasks in support of our clients.
LOCATION: In-Office - Richfield, MN - This is a fully in-office role. Office location will most likely be in Richfield, or close-by in St. Louis Park, Edina or Minnetonka.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Preferred but not required: Personal lines insurance experience.
- Candidates with professional communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Positive and outgoing disposition, eager to work as a team but also functions well working independently.
- Individuals with great customer service skills and who enjoy serving others.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
A detailed list of job duties includes (but is not limited to):
- Perform administrative functions in support of the service team which may include but are not limited to data entry, accessing carrier websites and processing changes, verifying renewal policies, and communications with third party vendors.
- Follow protocol for taking calls in department phone queues.
- Develop a strong working knowledge of carrier websites and utilize the sites to secure accurate and timely information for our clients and third parties.
- Comply with all internal procedures and practices while demonstrating the ability to meet service performance and quality standards.
- Work as a team and contribute to the team effort by openly sharing insurance knowledge.
- Assume ownership of problems until the resolution is successfully accomplished.
- Become a student of the business. Seek insurance knowledge through training and education.
- Complete additional projects as assigned by a supervisor or manager.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
Skill & Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong customer service focus & communication skills.
- Excellent diplomacy skills / ability to resolve issues.
- Independent user of technology.
Educational Requirement:
- College graduate or experience equivalent preferred
- Property & Casualty Insurance License is required to perform this role - if individual does not already have this license they must be willing to obtain it if hired
Technology:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
COMPENSATION:
The national average hourly rate for this role is $26.00 - $31.00 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
