As EPIC’s Marketing Manager for the Employee Benefits division, you will be the driving force behind our content-based marketing strategy. You own the development, execution, and optimization of marketing (educational, sales etc) campaigns that directly influence revenue growth.

You are closely partnered with sales leaders and subject matter experts to translate complex business needs into high impact marketing actions.

You build programs that elevate brand visibility, generate new business, and strengthen client relationships. With a sharp command of KPIs and emerging trends across digital, PR, and social channels, you guide a matrixed team to plan and launch campaigns that deliver measurable results.

 

Responsibilities

 

Define & Drive Overall Strategic Direction

  • Collaborate with marketing and business leaders to manage and execute an annual marketing plan that achieves business goals.
  • Present comprehensive strategic plan, editorial calendar, and channel optimization each year.

 

Maintain & Evolve Foundational Brand/Market Positioning

  • Maintain product positioning frameworks so that marketing, sales, and sales operations are up to date on the latest positioning based on new-to-market innovation.

 

Lead Content Strategy & Messaging Architecture

  • Create content management strategy to ensure messaging is clear, engaging, relevant, consistent, and actionable. Proactively answer “What’s in it for me?” to differentiate the brand.

 

Develop Thought Leadership & Market Credibility

  • Create thought leadership programs to increase brand/product recognition, improve sales solution awareness, and build credibility. Apply content across multiple digital and PR channels.

 

Align With Leaders to Drive Innovation & Growth

  • Act as liaison with business and sales leaders to target opportunities for content development and marketing innovation. Responsible for obtaining program approvals.

 

Build Influence & Cross–Functional Relationships

  • Build trusted, influential relationships with peers, sales leaders, and subject matter experts.

 

Identify & Interpret KPIs to Drive Strategic Decisions.

  • Identify and analyze key performance indicators for campaigns, public relations, population targeting, and optimization. Work with internal data teams to build KPIs and evaluate results.

 

Develop & Execute Integrated Marketing Campaigns

  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns that include the use of content (e.g., case studies, white papers, webinars), direct mail, digital marketing, and public relations. Establish measurable campaign goals and utilize various reporting mechanisms to evaluate results.

 

Lead Brand Stewardship & Change Advocacy

  • Be a brand ambassador and lead by example with innovative problem-solving and collaboration. Advocate change while keeping our company goals and brand standards omnipresent.

Support PR & Visibility Efforts

  • Collaborate with the public relations team to gain speaking engagements, awards, endorsements, and byline/quote opportunities.

 

Support Events & Presentation Materials

  • Ensuring identified tradeshow and speaking engagements are supported with modern presentations, displays, and handouts.

 

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms (or strong willingness to learn)
  • Strong experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Pardot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Marketo) and campaign management
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field, with 7+ years
  • Experience in complex B2B environments such as employee benefits, insurance, or pharmacy.
  • You’re a strategic marketer who translates business priorities into clear positioning, compelling narratives, and integrated marketing plans. You collaborate deeply with sales and business leaders, influence direction without authority, and understand the full marketing ecosystem—from content and digital to PR, events, and demand generation.
  • You bring a data driven mindset, define and interpret KPIs, and refine strategy based on performance insights. You plan effectively—building annual roadmaps, editorial strategies, and campaigns—and you operate confidently in a fast moving, matrixed environment. Strong executive communication, a bias for modernizing processes, and comfort with marketing operations tools are essential. Travel as needed.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support key initiatives, stakeholder relationships, and industry presence.

Some physical labor may be required for specific events, the ability to lift 25 – 50 lbs. overhead maybe required.
