JOB OVERVIEW:
An Atlanta based employee benefits firm is seeking a qualified Implementation Consultant with direct experience implementing and managing custom employee benefit plans across all lines of coverage for large group employers. The Implementation Consultant will oversee the implementation of vendors and benefits plans for clients and act as the primary contact person during the project. This role requires a customer-focused attitude, agile project management skills, and the ability to communicate and collaborate across multiple teams.
Job Responsibilities:
• Own, lead, and manage the implementation process, including creating a custom project plan in Excel or Smartsheet
• Collect all plan data and information as required and distribute it to the relevant vendors, clients, and internal team members
• Effectively communicate tasks, deadlines, and projects to all parties involved in the implementation
• Manage meetings/deliverables including preparing agendas, documenting meeting notes and providing follow-ups
• Lead frequent progress/status conference calls between the client, vendors, and internal teams, including creating agendas and disseminating important notes
• Manage the implementation to the established deadlines
• Effectively manage risk and client expectations while anticipating potential problem areas, escalating to the Director of Implementation if necessary
• Regularly report project status updates to Director of Implementation while owning and managing the implementation cycle independently
• Review and complete documentation generated during the implementation, ensuring accuracy
• Identify and document areas for process improvement within the Implementation department
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Attention to detail: excellent organization and prioritization skills required
• 3+ years of employee benefits industry experience in account management or project management plus strong knowledge of employee benefit vendors and plans strongly preferred
• Prior project management experience with multi-product implementations strongly preferred
• Strong client relationship skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a team environment
• Ability to demonstrate learning agility and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency with PC software and applications, with emphasis on MS Office Suite, Adobe, and SmartSheet
COMPENSATION:
The national average salary for this role is $80 000.00 - $95 000.00 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
