Summary

The Client Executive, Medicare partners closely with the Producer to develop and execute individual Medicare strategies, with a primary focus on Medicare Supplement (Medigap) solutions.

This role serves as the primary day-to-day client lead, delivering a high-touch, consultative experience across Medigap, Prescription Drug Plans (Part D), and Medicare Advantage alternatives—while maintaining a high standard of service, compliance, and retention.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Medicare-eligible individuals, providing guidance on:

    • Medicare Parts A & B enrollment timing
    • Medigap plan options
    • Underwriting vs. guaranteed-issue scenarios
    • Part D and other coverage coordination
  • Manage ongoing client activity, including:

    • Annual, Open, and Special Enrollment periods
    • One-on-one consultations and educational sessions
    • Compliance-aligned documentation and communications
  • Evaluate and compare:

    • Medigap carriers and plans (rates, underwriting, discounts, features)
    • Part D plan options
    • Medicare Advantage alternatives when appropriate
  • Conduct needs-based consultations evaluating:

    • Provider preferences
    • Prescription needs
    • Travel considerations
    • Financial preferences
  • Present clear, compliant recommendations based on:

    • Premium vs. out-of-pocket tradeoffs
    • Underwriting considerations
    • Plan benefits and coordination
  • Manage carrier and vendor relationships; coordinate service escalations and issue resolution

  • Oversee end-to-end enrollment support:

    • Application guidance
    • Documentation collection
    • Submission tracking through effective dates
  • Support Producers with:

    • Presentations, proposals, and comparisons
    • Client meetings and strategy discussions
  • Delegate and oversee administrative tasks, ensuring accuracy in CRM/AMS systems

  • Respond promptly to opportunities and maintain strong documentation and compliance standards


Leadership & Development

  • Prioritize and manage workflows for yourself and support staff
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM and agency systems
  • Collaborate effectively across teams to drive retention and growth
  • Stay current on Medicare regulations, products, and industry trends
  • Demonstrate professionalism in all client and internal interactions

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Oversee Client Managers, Coordinators, and support staff
  • Review work product and ensure quality and compliance standards

Key Competencies

  • Strong expertise in Medigap products, underwriting, and guaranteed-issue scenarios
  • Working knowledge of Part D and Medicare Advantage plans
  • Ability to analyze and explain complex plan information clearly
  • Understanding of Medicare regulations and CMS guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Insurance industry experience required
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret plan materials, benefits, and regulations
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and teamwork

Licenses & Certifications

  • Active Life & Health insurance license (required)
  • Medicare appointments as required
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally
  • Medicare-related certifications/designations preferred

 

 

 

 

COMPENSATION: 

The national average salary for this role is $100,000 - $110,000.00 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
