We are on a mission to create innovative, proven learning technology, partnering with educators to ignite student potential. We are a Remote First organization with a strong commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

Who We Are

Are you passionate about turning complex data into actionable insights? At Edmentum, we’re looking for an Analytics Engineer to help design, build, and maintain the data pipelines and assets that drive decision-making across our organization. In this role, you’ll collaborate with a team of skilled data professionals to deliver clean, scalable, and analytics-ready datasets. You’ll refine transformation logic, build dashboards, support stakeholders with their data needs, and contribute to improving our data processes. This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong SQL skills and a solid foundation in analytics engineering who is ready to take ownership, grow their expertise, and make a direct impact on learning outcomes through data-driven insights.

What You’ll Do

As an Analytics Engineer at Edmentum, you will play a key role in building the foundation for data-driven decision-making. You’ll design, build, and maintain scalable data models that transform raw, complex data into clean, reliable datasets optimized for analysis and reporting—directly supporting our mission to improve learning outcomes through actionable insights.

You will partner with cross-functional teams—including product, engineering, and business stakeholders—to structure data that enables self-service analytics, enhances data quality, and builds trust in our reporting ecosystem. By developing transformation pipelines, ensuring data integrity, and delivering reusable datasets and dashboards, you will drive both efficiency and clarity across the organization.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll influence how data is modeled, documented, and consumed across the company. With an emphasis on collaboration, curiosity, and continuous improvement, you’ll help shape Edmentum’s data platform strategy—leveraging modern tools and cloud technologies to deliver value to internal teams and, ultimately, to the students and educators we serve.

In this role, you will:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data models that enable teams to analyze and interpret information with ease.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into reliable, well-structured data solutions.
  • Develop and optimize transformation pipelines using modern tools such as dbt (or similar frameworks).
  • Monitor data quality and validate transformations, troubleshooting and resolving issues to maintain trust in the data.
  • Prepare curated datasets that power dashboards and reports, supporting self-service analytics for business users.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to simplify workflows and increase efficiency.
  • Expand your expertise in cloud platforms, data governance, and analytics tooling while contributing to team success.

 Technical Skills

  • SQL: Proficient in writing clean, efficient, and modular queries.
  • Transformation Tools: Hands-on experience or strong interest in dbt (or similar) for data modeling and transformations.
  • Data Warehousing/Lakehouse: Familiarity with platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, or Databricks.
  • BI Tools: Experience building dashboards or reports in Power BI, Looker, or Tableau.
  • Python: Working knowledge of pandas/NumPy for basic data manipulation and automation.
  • Data Modeling: Solid understanding of dimensional modeling concepts (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema, semantic layers).
  • Collaboration: Strong communication skills with a team-oriented mindset.
  • Cloud Platforms: Exposure to AWS, GCP, or Azure, with a desire to deepen expertise.
  • Continuous Learning: Eagerness to grow within a modern data stack environment.
  • Portfolio or Work Samples: Candidates may be asked to provide relevant portfolio or sample work as part of the interview process to showcase skills and capabilities

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
