What You’ll Do

Are you a visionary sales executive with a passion for K-12 education policy and the tenacity to win in complex government environments? As VP, State Partnerships at Edmentum, you will set the direction for our state-level go-to-market strategy, forge high-impact relationships with state education agencies and government leaders, and drive the statewide adoption and revenue growth that makes Edmentum the partner of choice for state-funded educational initiatives. • Build and sustain high-value government relationships with state superintendents, commissioners, board members, and legislative stakeholders, representing Edmentum at state capitals, national conferences, and key policy forums.
  • Drive revenue attainment through complex, multi-year state contracts, RFP and bid responses, and cooperative purchasing agreements, maintaining disciplined pipeline management and precise forecasting.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Government Relations, Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to align state-level initiatives with enterprise priorities and deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Leverage CRM, pipeline analytics, and performance data to drive operational excellence and strategic decision-making across the state partnerships function.
  • Monitor state education policy trends and translate market intelligence into actionable opportunities that strengthen Edmentum’s position in the government education sector.

Who You Are

  • You have deep knowledge of K-12 education policy, state agency structures, and government procurement processes, including RFPs, cooperative purchasing, and state and federal funding mechanisms.
  • You have a proven track record in public sector or government-facing sales, with demonstrated success closing complex, multi-year state contracts and managing significant revenue targets.
  • You excel at building executive-level government relationships and navigating legislative and policy environments with credibility and influence.
  • You are a strategic thinker with strong financial acumen and the ability to translate policy trends and market signals into revenue opportunities.
  • You bring outstanding communication skills, executive presence, and the ability to represent Edmentum compellingly in high-stakes public sector environments.
  • You have demonstrated the ability to drive revenue growth and execute consistently against ambitious targets in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization.
  • You are proficient in CRM platforms and pipeline analytics tools, and you lead with data.
  • You are committed to inclusion, ethical business practices, and Edmentum’s mission to improve outcomes for all students.
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in education, public policy, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience), and you bring at least 10 years of progressive sales or business development experience, including 5 or more years in a senior leadership capacity; government or public sector education sales experience is strongly preferred.

  • You are willing to take on evolving responsibilities based on business needs.
