Clinical Program Manager 

About the Role 

The Clinical Program Manager provides clinical supervision, operational oversight, and program leadership for Effective School Solutions (ESS) programs within a partner district. This individual serves as the primary liaison between ESS and district leadership, ensuring high-quality clinical services, strong program outcomes, and effective collaboration with school personnel. 

This role is ideal for an independently licensed clinician who combines strong therapeutic expertise with exceptional relationship-building, leadership, and program management skills. The Clinical Program Manager will oversee program staff, support students and families, partner with school administrators, and drive the successful implementation and growth of ESS services. 

The selected candidate will work alongside a highly experienced leadership team and receive extensive training in ESS protocols, systems, and service models. 

Salary Range: $85,000+

Clinical Responsibilities 

  • Provide clinical supervision, consultation, and support to assigned clinicians and Mental Health Technicians. 
  • Oversee the clinical delivery of ESS services, including individual, group, and family interventions, ensuring ethical, evidence-based care. 
  • Lead weekly consultation meetings focused on student treatment planning, progress monitoring, and documentation compliance. 
  • Participate in student support meetings, including IEP meetings, manifestation determinations, disciplinary hearings, and re-entry meetings following hospitalizations or disciplinary actions. 
  • Coordinate care with families, school personnel, psychiatrists, and community providers to ensure continuity of care and appropriate referrals across the mental health continuum. 
  • Foster strong collaboration among multidisciplinary teams to support students' academic, behavioral, and emotional success. 
  • Support family engagement initiatives, including parent meetings and educational programming as needed. 

Administrative & Leadership Responsibilities 

  • Provide operational oversight for assigned ESS programs, including staffing, scheduling, program implementation, and adherence to ESS standards. 
  • Recruit, interview, onboard, train, supervise, and evaluate clinical staff, supporting ongoing professional development and performance management. 
  • Serve as the primary liaison with school and district leadership, maintaining strong partnerships and regular communication regarding program needs, outcomes, and student support. 
  • Conduct tours and informational meetings for prospective students and families. 
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of clinical documentation and compliance with all ESS, ethical, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Monitor and analyze program data, including attendance, behavior, academic performance, and utilization metrics; develop action plans to address performance gaps. 
  • Prepare reports and program updates for district and ESS leadership meetings. 
  • Participate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities. 
  • Represent ESS professionally within partner districts and travel as needed to support assigned programs and staff. 

Qualifications 

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related mental health field. 
  • Active clinical license required (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent). 
  • 6–8 years of experience providing clinical services to children and adolescents with significant behavioral, emotional, and mental health challenges. 
  • 3–5 years of supervisory and leadership experience in a clinical setting required. 
  • Certification to provide clinical supervision required.  
  • Prior experience working within school-based mental health programs strongly preferred. 
  • Demonstrated success building relationships with school administrators, district leaders, families, and community partners. 
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills. 
  • Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams and managing program operations. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems. 
  • Ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation and use data to drive program outcomes.
