Title: Director of District and School Partnerships
About Effective School Solutions: Effective School Solutions (ESS) is a leading provider of school-based mental health services for K-12 students. Serving over 6,000 students daily across 120+ districts in 12 states, ESS offers high-acuity clinical care typically found in private practices or schools, within public school settings. In response to rising mental health challenges among youth, ESS has expanded its services to include a wider range of programming, professional development, and consultative solutions for districts.
About the Role: ESS is seeking a high-energy, results-driven individual to join our team in Georgia and Florida. This role is ideal for someone eager to be part of a company with a strong track record of success and growth. Key to success will be relentless prospecting, strong organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the K-12 educational landscape. The individual will work with a seasoned management team dedicated to providing top-notch services. Extensive training will be provided to ensure a thorough understanding of ESS’s service model.
Responsibilities and Duties:
District Partnerships & Business Development
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with school district leaders, including superintendents, special education directors, student services leaders, and other key decision-makers, leveraging a strong understanding of K–12 mental health, special education, and student support services.
- Develop new district partnerships in priority and white-space markets while expanding existing ESS relationships through a consultative approach focused on district needs and challenges.
- Lead complex, long-cycle sales processes, including prospecting, executive-level presentations, negotiations, and development of multi-year partnerships.
Revenue & Account Growth
- Own quarterly and annual revenue goals within assigned territories through new business development, renewals, and expansion of existing district partnerships.
- Strategically manage large, multi-stakeholder accounts by identifying growth opportunities, cultivating internal champions, and understanding district decision-making structures.
- Partner with ESS clinical, operations, marketing, and executive teams to deliver strong district outcomes that support retention and long-term growth.
Territory & Pipeline Management
- Develop and execute territory strategies informed by district priorities, state and federal funding opportunities, policy trends, competitive dynamics, and evolving student mental health needs.
- Maintain a disciplined and accurate pipeline using Salesforce including stakeholder relationships, opportunity activity, revenue forecasts, and next steps.
Industry Expertise & Collaboration
- Maintain a strong understanding of the K–12 education and student mental health landscape, including relevant funding sources, market trends, and competitor offerings, to effectively position ESS as a best-in-class partner.
- Collaborate across ESS teams to expand access and influence within key territories, address district challenges, and deliver a consistent partner experience.
- Demonstrate strong ownership, adaptability, teamwork, and follow-through in both internal and external relationships.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
- 7+ years of educational sales experience or a background in school leadership.
- Proven track record of achieving quotas, particularly in new business development.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Deep understanding of the K-12 market, specifically in FL and GA.
- Demonstrated success in multi-channeled prospecting approaches.
- High degree of motivation to achieve success and passion for the work.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including some overnight travel.
