Senior Account Executive

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Account Executive to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be a key point of contact for our clients, responsible for managing and nurturing client relationships, overseeing project execution, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional results. You will be a strategic thinker, a proactive problem-solver, and a strong communicator, capable of working independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for understanding our clients' business objectives and work with the team to translate them into effective marketing and advertising strategies. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned account professional to make a significant impact and grow their career within a thriving agency.  Please note, this is a hybrid role and will require days in our Chicago office.  

Role Requirements:

  • Client Focus: Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building strong, long-lasting relationships based on trust and mutual respect.
  • Strategic Thinking: Develop a deep understanding of the client's business, industry, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Project Ownership: Take ownership of projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Financial Acumen: Develop and manage project budget and track expenses.
  • Communication Excellence: Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams, providing clear and concise updates, reports, and recommendations.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve issues, demonstrating creative problem-solving skills and a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Team Leadership: Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including creative, media, and production, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay up to date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.

What you’ll do:

  • Project Management: Guide the day-to-day development of projects within approved plans, ensuring all stages are approved with adequate time to meet deadlines. This includes creating project timelines, managing resources, and tracking progress.
  • Client Communication: Conduct regular client status calls/meetings, prepare and distribute detailed contact reports and status reports, and promptly and appropriately respond to both internal and external client requests.
  • Relationship Management: Manage and nurture day-to-day client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and partner.
  • Strategic Insight: Acquire a thorough understanding of the client's business to anticipate marketing and advertising challenges and opportunities; monitor competitive activity.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate effectively with internal and external team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Facilitate communication and ensure all team members are aligned on project goals and objectives.

What you’ll need:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in advertising or a related field (e.g., marketing, public relations, communications).
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute effectively and independently. Experience using project management software (e.g., Monday.com) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively. Proven ability to develop and deliver compelling presentations to clients.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot project obstacles and challenges by demonstrating creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and comfortable reporting to all levels of the organization.
  • Proactive in recommending ways to improve work processes and efficiencies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. Pay Range

$75,000 - $80,000 USD
