Eigen Labs is more than just a leading name in the blockchain space. We’re the driving force behind EigenLayer, a game-changing solution that revolutionizes crypto-economic security. Imagine a world where blockchain projects break free from the shackles of the scaling trilemma and capital limitations.

We’re building a platform to deliver security to novel distributed applications. In today's blockchain ecosystem, each service is typically secured by its own tokenized trust-network. With EigenLayer, services can build upon the established security of the Ethereum trust network, unlocking untold scalability while maintaining security and decentralization.

The Role

EigenPods are smart contracts managed by users, designed to facilitate the monitoring and managing of balance and withdrawal statuses on EigenLayer. As a Lead Software Engineer you will spearhead the end-to-end ownership of EigenPOD offchain components, drive the success of EigenLayer's native restaking offerings and collaborate with our protocol team to ensure seamless integration of offchain systems with EigenLayer.

Native Restaking is now more than half of our TVL on mainnet and future growth provides exciting opportunities to drive complex mission critical projects. If you’re looking to collaborate with a talented team of engineers, driving innovation and inventing groundbreaking technologies, we look forward to hearing from you!

What You Will Do

  • Serve as a technical leader on our most demanding projects, increasing our productivity and effectiveness by sharing your deep knowledge and experience.
  • Work with company leadership to influence and define strategy, product roadmaps, and platform experiences.
  • Write and maintain code to generate proofs of beacon chain events
  • Design APIs for optimal webapp consumption
  • Leverage innovative approaches such as zero knowledge proofs and batch processing to enhance cost efficiency and customer experience
  • Stay up to date with EIPs that affect native restaking
  • Work with and evaluate vendors, efficiently implement/utilize their solutions, ensure data quality and uptime accountability, and provide feedback.

What You Will Bring

  • BS in Computer Science or related technical field (e.g., physics or mathematics)
  • 7+ years of backend distributed systems experience
  • 2+ years of full life cycle development with Go
  • Exposure to AWS cloud technologies
  • Deep understanding of the Ethereum protocol, Ethereum staking and beacon chain
  • Proven track record of leading backend development projects, centered on web2 components and API design, into production
  • Experience working on highly scalable and rapidly evolving software systems

Bonus

  • Working experience with Ethereum consensus clients, or other blockchain protocols
  • Strong understanding of smart contracts
  • Native restaking and/or liquid staking knowledge

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
