THE ROLE

Our AVS Consumer team operates with a startup-like culture, emphasizing speed, autonomy, and innovation. This team will be small but growing, with a focus on delivering high-impact consumer applications. As a Senior Smart Contracts Engineer, you will be the first SME on this team with ownership over contributions to one of the most innovative and promising open source projects in the Ethereum community. WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Cultivate a thriving ecosystem of application developers building thousands of innovative and valuable apps/services on top of the Eigen Stack, driving growth with millions of users
  • Develop programmatic smart contracts to manage incentives and rewards of our consumers. 
  • Research and develop SDKs to simplify onboarding and development of Active Validated Services (AVS)
  • Build dApps and/or templates to showcase Eigen stack capabilities
  • Improve our ability to rapidly test user scenarios related to growing consumer segments and liquidity
  • Identify and capture security threats and vulnerabilities for existing and new functionality in EigenLayer, AVS and Consumer contracts
  • Modularize tests and raise the level of abstraction in tests.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • BS in Computer Science or related technical field (e.g., physics or mathematics)
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience w/ proven track record of building and scaling consumer applications
  • 3+ years with Solidity and Foundry 
  • Expertise with React, Node and/or Typescript
  • Demonstrated expertise integrating with Go or Rust backends
  • Prior history of design, development and launching large scale projects (dApps) from 0 to 1
  • Strong understanding of security best practices in building scalable applications, particularly in a consumer-facing environment.
  • Ability to iterate rapidly and handle ambiguity requirements.

NICE TO HAVES

  • Active contributor to open sources projects
  • In depth knowledge of zk proofs/rollups
  • Ethereum Virtual Machine
  • Thought leadership and architecture design

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. The annual salary range for this position is $225,000 - $300,000. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Eigen Labs provides various employee benefits, including:
