
Research Associate 1, Cell Operations (Contractor)
Eikon Therapeutics is a new biopharmaceutical company employing revolutionary technology at the intersection of chemistry, engineering, computation, and biology to discover novel treatments for life-threatening diseases. Eikon’s discovery platform is built on groundbreaking innovations from its founders (Nobel Prize, 2014), culminating in the creation of microscopes which enable real time, molecular-resolution measurements of protein movement in living cells, thereby unlocking otherwise intractable classes of proteins as drug targets.
Position
As a cell culture research associate, you will execute cell culture processes to support our drug discovery pipeline. Primary responsibilities include mammalian cell culture maintenance, expansion and banking for several research and screening programs on multiple size scales. You will collaborate with colleagues both within and across teams to advance our mission in a multidisciplinary environment. This is a 6-month contractor position.

What You’ll Do
- Maintain and expand multiple cell lines in different scales, to support our research programs
- Bank cell lines and maintain accurate records
- Utilize liquid handling systems and laboratory robotics
- Interact with researchers to ensure timely delivery of cells
- Perform practical lab work, schedule day to day tasks, and ensure timely delivery of quality results
- Update cell culture reports and documentation promptly
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree plus 1 year of lab experience in Biotechnology, Cell Biology or related discipline
- Experience with adherent mammalian cell culture and related techniques is required
- Experience with iPSC cultures, neuronal cells is highly desired
- Experience with automation and other high-throughput instruments is a plus
- Ability to show adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
- Works well both independently and collaboratively
- Excellent communication skills and attention to details

The expected salary range for this role is $37/hour to $44/hour depending on skills, competency, and the market demand for your expertise.
