Your Role
As the Process Engineer, You will play a key role in driving factory performance through continuous improvement initiatives as part of our Manufacturing Excellence Department. You will also lead the design of our site-wide training strategy, ensuring our workforce is continuously developing and future-ready. This is a unique opportunity to combine people development with industrial engineering to influence both capability and productivity on the shop floor.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and contribute to Focused Improvement Kaizens aimed at reducing waste and enhancing productivity.
- Support deployment and sustainment of the Lipton Management System (LMS) and its associated continuous improvement methodologies.
- Perform industrial engineering studies (e.g., workload analysis, bottleneck identification, mass balance) to optimize operations.
- Lead or support projects involving system or process changes in collaboration with manufacturing, engineering, and leadership teams.
- Lead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of the training strategy for all hourly positions on site.
- Own and maintain the Site Skills Matrix to track employee competencies and training status.
- Create, update, and manage training materials and content, ensuring relevance and effectiveness.
- Conduct competency checks for hourly employees and develop individualized improvement plans as needed.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Safety, Health, Environment (SHE) and Quality, to support their training needs.
Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with exposure to Lean or World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
- Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills with an ability to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to train, coach, and influence team members at all levels.
- Adaptable and self-directed team player with a creative and energetic approach to challenges.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Power BI experience is preferred.
