Head of People, Eko Capture Factory

Eko is a technology company focused on delivering the best way to present products online. 

Thanks to our groundbreaking partnership with major retailers, and our ability to demonstrably increase e-commerce sales, we recently broke ground on a new facility focused on processing, capturing, and delivering data & media for millions of unique products annually. 

Our first of its kind facility will open in Northwest Arkansas this summer and scale to hundreds of employees by the end of 2025.

As we embark on our next phase of expansion, we are seeking visionary leaders who thrive in dynamic, "figure-it-out-as-we-go" environments and are eager to grow with us.

While we have a thriving HQ in Tel Aviv, and a US home base in New York- our Bentonville team will need to scale from a few people to hundreds within the next few months. 

The Head of People, Eko Capture Factory will report directly to Eko's locally-based President & Chief Commercial Officer, however work will be deeply collaborative with people leaders in Tel Aviv headquarters, as well as the Capture Factory's General Manager. 

 

The role entails a willingness and ability to lead a “ground-up” approach to building & maintain a high-performance

  • Recruiting team
  • Training & Performance Management / Culture team
  • Functional HR department

Recruiting:

  • Building our employer brand locally to attract the best talent to Eko.
  • Hiring & managing a scalable team of recruiters capable of successfully placing candidates across a wide range of roles (Leadership, AV, engineering, light production, facilities management, creative, warehouse, etc).
  • Efficient screening process which assures do not miss good talent while keeping our hiring managers focused on their day to day.
  • Best in class candidate experience which surprises & delights all candidates (whether they get the job or not) showing how great of a company Eko would be to work at.

Training

  • Build training process across a wide variety of functions: Collaborating with each department leader to build efficient training programs & procedures.
  • Definition & management of internal certifications- Due to the nature of the facility, we intend to set up various “levels” of permissions each employee has in the factory- each requiring their own internal (and sometimes external) certifications.
  • Knowledge management– Build and maintain a system for training across all functional disciplines.

Performance Management & Culture

  • We are Eko – We are part of a decade old business with a defined culture, policies, and ways of working.  Our primary goal is assuring our local culture “fit right in” and adopt as much of Eko’s core-DNA as possible.
  • We are a Factory. -  Our division's goals are well defined & focused on daily output/production related KPIs.  We recognize the differences between our function he culture & performance management process that exist in Eko’s HQ.  
  • The right Head of People will find “threading this needle” to be the most rewarding and important part of their job.   Assuring there isn’t an “us vs them”  / “hq vs field” dynamic, while building a highly performance oriented culture within the factory environment—without losing the creativity & excitement of a technology startup.

Functional HR

  • The basics— Payroll, Time & Attendance Management, Benefits Administration etc.  We could write more here but don’t think we need to.
  • IT Collaboration – Collaborate with IT/Security teams to build an efficient onboarding & offboarding process.
  • Safety & Workplace Standards – We are a high-output facility and there will be robots and heavy machinery at play.  The ideal candidate has experience working in production environments and understands how to build the proper safety programs that keep our workforce happy & healthy.

While we love Functional HR, the ideal candidate gravitates towards Recruiting, Training, Performance Management & Culture- while being capable & well versed in functional HR.

Must have:

  • Must be on-site 5 days/week in Northwest Arkansas
  • Proven experience as a Senior HR Director or Head of People in a hyper-growth company, preferably in the technology, robotics, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong background in scaling operations
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and the ability to execute in a fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
