The Receiving Lead at eko’s Capture Factory reports directly to the Warehouse Manager. The Receiving Lead is a key player in our warehouse team, responsible for managing all inbound operations at the dock—from the moment items arrive to when they’re processed and put away in our storage systems. 

 

What you will do:

  • Oversee the receiving team, managing exceptions, applying license plates to inventory, and ensuring items are moved quickly and accurately into the correct locations.
  • This is a hands-on, floor-based leadership role. You will be training and mentoring new Receiving Associates to uphold eko’s accuracy and safety standards.
  • Manage the receiving team and daily shift assignments, tracking team performance against labor and throughput metrics
  • Own exception management for damaged, delayed, or mismatched shipments
  • Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy and proper documentation of inbound activity
  • Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager and Logistics Manager to ensure accurate dock scheduling and delivery coordination
  • Collaborate with teams across robot, studio, warehouse, and facility operations to lead receiving-related projects and address challenges.
  • Step in to safely operate forklifts for offloading pallets or large items

 

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of experience in receiving or inbound logistics roles within a warehouse, distribution center, or 3PL setting
  • A servant leadership mindset, with a willingness to lead by example in a fast-paced, shift-based environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to inventory accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to solve problems proactively and make quick, sound decisions
  • Strong communication skills across logistics teams, clients, and warehouse leadership
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain one quickly)
  • Willingness to assist with freight offloading when needed
  • A collaborative, team-oriented approach with full ownership of the receiving process

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects frequently (typically up to 50 lbs).
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach regularly.
  • Visual acuity to read labels, packing slips, and computer screens, and to inspect goods for defects.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment which may include exposure to varying temperatures, dust, and noise.

 

Work Environment:

  • This position operates primarily within a warehouse setting.
  • The noise level can range from moderate to loud.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts and vehicles (forklifts, trucks).

This position pays an hourly rate starting at $25.00, with the final rate based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, and location. All hourly rates meet or exceed applicable state and federal minimum wage laws. This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
