Head of Special Teams

Bentonville

eko is an innovative e-commerce startup dedicated to empowering brands to create, display, and optimize their video assets across digital platforms. Thanks to our groundbreaking partnership with major retailers, and our ability to demonstrably increase e-commerce sales, we recently broke ground on a new facility focused on processing, capturing, and delivering data & media for millions of unique products annually.

Our first-of-its-kind facility will open in Northwest Arkansas this summer and scale to hundreds of employees by the end of 2025.

As we embark on our next phase of expansion, we are seeking visionary leaders who thrive in dynamic, “figure-it-out-as-we-go” environments and are eager to grow with us.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role will own and lead all non-standard production and support teams at the facility—what we call “Special Teams.” Unlike our Crew Chiefs, who manage generalist Creative Associates, the Head of Special Teams is responsible for recruiting, developing, and leading highly specialized, creatively-skilled micro-teams that make our factory magic possible.

These teams include:

  • Technology / Studio Equipment / IT – Keeping our cutting-edge infrastructure running smoothly
  • Food Prep & Styling Services – Making food products look as delicious as they are in real life
  • Model & Talent Coordination / Hair & Makeup – Ensuring talent is ready for camera, on time and on point
  • Props & Set Teams – Managing, designing, and sourcing elements that bring products to life on screen
  • Facilities - Keeping our factory functional, safe, and photo-ready by managing maintenance, repairs, and studio readiness.
  • Assembly - Prepping products by assembling, staging, or building anything needed for high-quality capture.
  • You’ll collaborate closely with the Warehouse, Crew Chiefs, and our operations leadership to make sure these teams are ready to support daily capture efforts, troubleshoot creatively, and scale as needed.

What you will do:

  • Build and lead multiple specialized teams across creative, technical, and production support disciplines
  • Develop systems, workflows, and operational processes that balance creativity with repeatable, high-volume throughput
  • Serve as the connective tissue between studio operations, technical infrastructure, and production support
  • Collaborate deeply with Warehouse Leads and Crew Chiefs to align on daily/weekly production plans and special requirements
  • Own vendor relationships for freelance talent and specialty contractors (e.g., hair/makeup, culinary stylists, etc.)
  • Support facility scaling: from onboarding talent to helping set up physical studio spaces and tech infrastructure
  • Uphold a culture of excellence, creative problem solving, and technical rigor

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience leading creatively driven and technically specialized teams
  • A background in large-scale studio or production environments (film, commercial, retail, etc.)
  • Experience in roles such as AD, Line Producer, or Studio Manager is a plus
  • A natural systems thinker who builds scalable processes across creative and technical domains
  • Highly collaborative, yet decisive and comfortable setting vision and moving fast
  • Skilled at translating production needs into action plans, schedules, and resource allocation
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments with ambitious growth targets
  • Passionate about building from scratch and driving meaningful impact
  • Proven ability to recruit, manage, and motivate specialized creative and technical teams
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator, especially with warehouse, tech, and operations leads
  • Willing to relocate—we’ll support the right candidate
  • Must be on-site 5 days/week in Northwest Arkansas

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach regularly.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment which may include exposure to varying temperatures, dust, and noise.

Work Environment:

  • This position operates primarily within a factory setting.
  • The noise level can range from moderate to loud.
