
Senior Manager, Partnerships
Position Description
The Senior Manager, Partnerships is a trusted partner and day-to-day point of contact for Eleanor Health’s payor partners and national referral partners. The overall objectives of the role are to drive customer delight with Eleanor, ensure contractual success, communicate performance both internally and externally, and catalyze contract and membership growth. This position reports to the VP of Strategic Partnerships. The Senior Manager, Partnerships will also partner closely with—and often coordinate the work of—teammates in the markets, contracting, analytics, credentialing and enrollment, and revenue cycle management.
You will facilitate the implementation of new customer relationships and continue to nurture those relationships throughout the entirety of the customer lifecycle. You will be an expert on contractual performance measures and other contractual requirements and will continuously monitor and communicate performance. You will listen to, learn from, and respond to customer priorities and inquiries; strategize around new opportunities; and collaborate actively with Eleanor teammates to ensure the growth of Eleanor’s customer portfolio and membership overall. This foundational role will also help identify areas of improvement in core services to consistently deliver value to our customers and members. You will be a specialist in partnership strengths and risks, lead internal and external meetings, and be responsible for creating and maintaining collateral, including account plans, risk logs, relationship maps, JOC/QBR presentations, status reports, and implementation plans.
Primary Responsibilities
- Understand and manage all customer objectives, expectations, and timelines by communicating regularly with internal team members and external partners, taking accountability for deliverables.
- Act as an internal and external project manager, ensuring successful tracking and delivery of customer goals across key financial, clinical, operational, and service capabilities.
- Educate key partners on Eleanor Health services; identify and develop opportunities to strengthen and evolve partnerships.
- Be a trusted and responsive partner by understanding customer expectations and solving complex customer-related issues.
- Work closely with the data and analytics team to submit business cases and requirements documents that articulate partner reporting needs and opportunities to streamline metrics across payors and/or B2B partners.
- Facilitate preparation for quarterly business reviews and customer joint operating committee (JOC) meetings.
- Work with partner counterparts to initiate projects and strategies that support Eleanor Health’s workflows to identify, engage, and deliver services to members.
- Use project management skills to implement new contracts and collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to ensure effective operations and the ability to deliver on commitments.
- Manage a single source of truth for contract summaries and maintain organization of legal contracts using company tools and resources.
- Track, report, and deliver upon departmental leading indicators and key performance measures.
- Maintain an understanding of Eleanor’s capabilities and vision, and effectively communicate all relevant offerings to customer stakeholders at all levels.
- Achieve a high rate of customer retention and support stated revenue targets for existing customers, while playing an active role in growing new customer relationships.
- Facilitate customer meetings and build presentations and other collateral that effectively demonstrate Eleanor’s value.
- Maintain internal documentation that is referenceable by stakeholders, and ensure internal teams have an adequate understanding of customer goals, risks, and critical initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred, with 5–10 years of experience in healthcare account management, administration, consulting, or a customer success role working with health plans.
- Excellent written, presentation (PowerPoint/Google Slides), and oral communication skills with the ability to engage, build credibility, and create trust across all levels of an organization.
- Willingness and ability to work collaboratively across functional teams and with team members at various levels.
- Familiarity with analytics, the ability to interpret data, utilize Excel, and develop charts and performance scorecards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Domain knowledge, particularly in value-based care and quality or performance measurement.
- Experience leading a team.
- Proven track record of creating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships with strong communication skills.
- A propensity for curiosity, analysis, problem solving, and strategic insight, along with a bias toward action and execution.
- Periodic travel to Eleanor's offices and customer sites is required.
- Comfort with and adaptability to a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining focus on key goals.
- Results-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and lead a team to consistently meet timelines and customer expectations.
The target annual compensation range for this position is $115,000-125,000 + Bonus. The actual compensation offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.
