Senior Manager, Integrated Marketing & Communications

Manassas, VA

About Electra

At Electra, we’re building the EL9 — a nine-passenger, hybrid-electric aircraft that takes off and lands in 150 feet. Our Ultra Short technology unlocks thousands of new operating locations and enables what we call Direct Aviation: quiet, point-to-point regional travel that gets people from where they are to where they want to go, without the congestion of major airports or the noise of conventional aviation.

A global company, headquartered in Manassas, VA, Electra is backed by Lockheed Martin, Honeywell, and Safran, has filed for FAA Part 23 type certification, and carries 2,000+ intent to purchase from operators worldwide. We’re a team of ~100 people moving fast toward first EL9 test flights in 2027 and certification by late 2029 or 2030. Every hire matters at this stage — and this role is no exception.

The Role

As our Senior Manager, Integrated Marketing & Communications, you'll partner closely with the Head of Marketing & Communications to bring structure, visibility, and execution discipline to Electra's marketing and communications function as it scales. This role owns the operating rhythm behind the function: project planning, cross-functional coordination, agency and vendor management, and the processes that let priorities move quickly without dropping the ball.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who thrives on bringing order to a fast-moving, resource-constrained environment - equally comfortable managing a project plan, facilitating a status review, and stepping in wherever the function needs support.

What You will Do

  • Partner with the Head of Marketing & Communications to execute strategic priorities, annual plans, and key business initiatives
  • Lead integrated project planning and execution across marketing campaigns, communications initiatives, events, executive visibility programs, and strategic company priorities
  • Create alignment across marketing, communications, and branding to ensure projects are delivered on time and against objectives
  • Own and manage project plans, integrated calendars, timelines, milestones, and status reporting across the function
  • Establish and maintain project management processes, workflows, and reporting tools that improve visibility, accountability, and execution
  • Manage project intake, prioritization, and resource planning activities to support effective decision-making and execution
  • Serve as a central point of coordination for agency partners and vendors, ensuring deliverables, timelines, and budgets are effectively managed
  • Facilitate planning meetings, status reviews, and cross-functional coordination sessions to drive alignment and execution
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and operational challenges and support implementation of mitigation plans
  • Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms that provide visibility into project status, performance, and organizational priorities
  • Support the planning and execution of major company announcements, thought leadership initiatives, trade shows, customer/VIP events, and executive engagements
  • Help build scalable processes that enable the Marketing & Communications function to grow alongside the business
  • Own and manage project plans, integrated calendars, timelines, milestones, and status reporting across the function

What You Bring

  • BS/BA in Marketing, Communications, Business, Project Management, or a related field
  • 12+ years of experience in marketing, communications, project management, agency services, or related disciplines
  • 5+ years of directly applicable people management experience. Position currently has no direct reports but is planned to be a path to management role as the company continues to grow.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives from planning through execution
  • Experience managing agency relationships and coordinating multiple stakeholders across competing priorities
  • Strong proficiency with project management and collaboration platforms such as Asana, Monday.com, Wrike, Smartsheet, Jira, Workfront, or similar tools
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and time management skills
  • Effective communicator across all levels of an organization - internally and externally
  • Ability to bring structure, visibility, and accountability to fast-paced environments
  • Entrepreneurial ownership mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and doing whatever it takes to achieve team and company goals
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly in both written and verbal formats
  • Self-motivated and accountable - able to thrive independently or as part of a highly collaborative team
  • Make final prioritization and resourcing tradeoff decisions across competing marketing/communications initiatives

Bonus Points

  • Agency or similar in-house marcomm background with experience managing multiple projects, clients, and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Experience supporting senior marketing, communications, or corporate affairs leaders
  • Experience in aerospace, aviation, technology, advanced manufacturing, or other high-growth industries
  • Familiarity with CRM, marketing automation, and analytics platforms
  • Experience building processes and operational rigor within startup or growth-stage environments

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
