Marketing Performance Analyst - Fixed Term Contract

This is contract role until the end of March 2027

What you'll be doing:
- Work closely with Marketing, Customer Experience and Product to understand data requirements and deliver relevant datasets and insights and work to deliver the insights strategy for the whole of Customer.
- Analyse large datasets to uncover key business trends, generate reports, and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
- Translate business requirements into technical design documentation ready for implementation
- Ensure data quality and consistency by implementing validation checks, error handling and monitoring
- Run regular meetings with Marketing, Customer Experience and Product to determine their needs, clarify requirements and remove roadblocks. Capture meeting notes, actions and outcomes. Follow up as required.
- Facilitate effective interactions between the business and technical teams
- Build and maintain data pipelines for campaigns workflows, and integrations into 3rd party systems
- Design and build data pipelines to ensure data is clean, reliable, and accessible for Marketing, Customer and Product
What you’ll bring:
- 3+ years experience in a data analyst, analytics engineer or data engineer role
- Tertiary degree in computer science, data science, information systems or similar relevant qualifications
- Strong technical capabilities with SQL and python
- Experience with Google Analytics
- Experience working with large databases, data warehouses or data lakes
- Ability to understand the business context of requests and translate into data and reporting requirements
- Exposure to one or more BI / data visualisation platforms
- A keen and curious eye for spotting both trends and anomalies in datasets and learning how that could make things better for us
- Strong problem identification, problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to translate technical details for a non-technical audience, and vice versa
- Self-motivated and adaptable to change
- A great attitude and team player who loves to work in a dynamic environment.
- Desirable but not essential:
- Experience working with dimensional modelling
- Energy and/or Telco industry experience
- Exposure to AWS data services such as Glue, Athena, DMS, S3
- Experience working with remote / distributed teams
- Understanding of CI/CD platforms, such as GitLab.
Bonus points if you've worked with AWS tools (Glue, Athena, etc.), dabbled in BI platforms, or come from a telco or energy background. But more important is your mindset, not just your CV!
