Data Architect

At Electrosoft, we rely on insightful data to power our systems and solutions. We’re seeking a Mid-Level data architect to help design and build relational databases.   The ideal candidate understands how to develop strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of a database.  They must work in a data warehouse environment, which includes data design, database architecture, metadata, and repository creation.   They should have the ability to translate business needs into long-term architecture solutions.  This means that you can define, design, and build dimensional databases.  You must be adept at the development of data warehousing blueprints, evaluation of hardware and software platforms, and have the ability to integrate systems. We are looking for someone who understands the value of reuse of current data for additional analyses. We need a fresh set of eyes to review object and data models and the metadata repository to structure the data for better management and quicker access.

Responsibilities

  • Design and refine data solutions in line with modern architectural principles, prioritizing the reuse of the customer’s established architectures and patterns, while appropriately considering alternative approaches to ensure scalability, security, supportability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Design and update conceptual, logical, and physical data models at enterprise and project levels to ensure business alignment, architectural consistency, and interoperability.
  • Advance and align the enterprise data architecture with the organization’s strategic direction by actively shaping it to support end-to-end business processes across all domains.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and architects to ensure data-driven architectural coherence across platforms and initiatives.
  • Define logical data flows and integration patterns across business domains to ensure architectural coherence, operational efficiency, and alignment with analytics and data-sharing needs.
  • Ensure metadata, data lineage, and cataloguing practices are embedded into architectural designs to support data discoverability, governance, and impact assessment.
  • Architect data assets to support advanced analytics, data products, and self-service access, ensuring usability, performance, and business relevance.
  • Embed data quality principles into architectural designs to support the delivery of trusted, high-quality data across business domains.
  • Provide architectural input into the selection and evolution of data modelling, cataloguing, and data platform tools to ensure alignment with strategic and operational needs.

Basic Qualifications

  • Five (5) years relevant experience
  • Must be able to obtain or currently possess IT-I Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 5 (T5)
  • Master’s degree in computer science, Statistics, Applied Math, or related field.
  • Experience working with modeling tools (e.g., one or more of the following: ER/Win, Power
  • Designer, ERStudio or other similar tools)
  • Previous experience support Defense Programs a plus
  • Professional certification preferred
  • Cloud Experience preferred

 

Pay Range

$125,000 - $130,000 USD
