Vice President – Federal Civilian Operations & Delivery

Position Summary

The Vice President, Federal Civilian Operations & Delivery is a senior executive responsible for the performance, growth, and strategic direction of the company’s Federal Civilian portfolio. This leader has executive accountability for service delivery, customer satisfaction, financial performance, workforce execution, contract performance, and organic growth across assigned Federal Civilian customers and programs.

The VP serves as the key operational interface across Operations, Growth, Finance, Contracts, HR, Recruiting, teaming partners, and Federal customers, ensuring that business strategy and contractual commitments translate into successful execution and sustainable growth.

The ideal candidate understands both sides of the Federal market—how agencies acquire services and how successful contractors deliver them—and combines Federal acquisition expertise, operational discipline, financial acumen, customer intimacy, and experience developing competitive delivery, pricing, staffing, and teaming strategies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 15+ years of progressive experience supporting the U.S. Federal Government, with significant Federal Civilian market experience.
  • 8+ years in senior leadership roles overseeing Federal operations, programs, portfolios, or service delivery.
  • Demonstrated responsibility for a significant Federal portfolio with revenue, margin/P&L, customer, workforce, and delivery accountability.
  • Strong understanding of the FAR, Federal acquisition lifecycle, source selection, and procurement environment.
  • Strong understanding of Federal pricing, labor categories, indirect costs, wrap rates, fee structures, margin management, and competitive pricing.
  • Demonstrated success managing prime/subcontractor relationships and strategic teaming partners during execution.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, including portfolio forecasting, revenue, margin, utilization, and P&L management.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop trusted relationships with senior Federal customers and industry executives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, Management, or related field; advanced degree and relevant certifications preferred.

The actual base salary offered will be determined based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant years and depth of experience, skills and qualifications, education, certifications, internal equity, and the specific requirements of the position. Candidates should not assume they will be offered the top of the posted range, as compensation is based on the individual qualifications and overall fit for the role.

In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for a performance-based bonus or incentive opportunity tied to individual and/or company production and results. Bonus eligibility, targets, and payouts are subject to the applicable incentive plan and are not guaranteed. Total compensation may therefore exceed the stated base salary range based on performance and achievement of applicable goals.

Salary Range

$200,000 - $250,000 USD
