Systems Engineering Intern

We are looking for a Systems Engineering Intern who is curious, loves to learn, and wants to make an impact on cutting-edge projects. Our program has multiple elements (no pun intended) to ensure that you have a well-rounded internship experience helping the Systems Engineering team to develop and test our sequencing platforms. This internship will also provide opportunities to develop soft skills as well as meet with Leaders across the organization to learn about their careers and gain insights on how to navigate your early career decisions.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Develop bench top test stations to support module level feasibility and reliability testing
- Bring up, test, and troubleshoot prototype instruments
- Perform sequencing runs on prototype instruments and analyze results to optimize system level performance
- Develop and maintain data analysis scripts for bench top test and sequencing runs
- Work cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, optical, and fluidic engineers to achieve project milestones
Education and Experience:
- Undergraduate (Senior) /graduate student (MS/PhD) currently enrolled in the engineering/physics
- Experience in scripting for hardware testbed automation including motion control, sensor integration, and data logging using python, LabView, etc
- Proficiency in data analysis using python, MATLAB, etc
- Research/hands-on experience with instrument HW/SW integration and HW test tools (microscope, multimeter, oscilloscope etc.) is preferred (1+ yrs.)
- Cross-functional collaboration and effective communication is highly desired in this role
- Python knowledge strongly preferred

Base Compensation Pay Range:
- $25 - 40/hr
