We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager who will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of Element’s financial statements. This is an incredible opportunity for someone who is passionate about contributing to the success of a future world class finance organization. We are looking for candidates with a solid background in a wide range of accounting topics who can grow and assume new responsibilities as the company evolves. Experience working in a public accounting firm or a publicly traded company is highly desired. This role will report to the Director of Accounting and will be an on-site San Diego based role.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Prepare and/or review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Support the establishment and enhancement of a strong internal control environment
Own the accounting process over key areas such as investments, debt, stock-based compensation, leasing, and intercompany
Research technical accounting guidance and document conclusions in accounting memorandums
Support and/or perform the processing of certain tax filings
Identify, provide input to and/or support improvements to systems and processes to drive efficiency and enhance effectiveness

Education and Experience:

Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline with a minimum of 8+ years of broad, progressive accounting experience
A CPA designation is strongly preferred
Experience with the preparation of financial statements in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment preferred
Familiarity with a wide range of GAAP/Accounting topics such as revenue recognition, investments, debt, etc
NetSuite proficiency preferred
Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders
A passion for teamwork and continuous improvement

Ability to move objects weighing up to 20 pounds

Base Compensation Pay Range:

$119,000 - $156,000

In addition to base compensation noted above, you will be eligible for stock options, discretionary annual bonus, no cost health insurance plans, 401k with company match, and flexible paid time off.
