Director, Global Single Cell and Spatial Strategic Partnerships

We are seeking an experienced Director, Global Single Cell & Spatial Strategic Partnerships who will play a pivotal role in establishing and executing strategies for obtaining new customers and maintaining/growing existing customer accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals. This is an incredible opportunity for someone who has a strong desire to “win” and build customer relationships. We are looking for candidates with a solid background in commercial sales and strong genetics and NGS knowledge. Experience with capital equipment sales is a must. This role will report to the SVP of Global Sales & Support and will be a remote role.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain customer relations with strategic accounts and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) that typically involve multi-site national labs; responsible to identify, develop and close new sales opportunities in growth markets for Aviti24
- Work on commercial partnerships to drive new business in the Single Cell and Spatial Biology market
- Support the field sales team/marketing in conjunction with R&D to execute on TAP (Technology Access Projects)
- Partner with Account Executives on the greater commercial team to develop account strategies
- Align specific proposals and offerings to company objectives by working with Leadership, Marketing, Scientific Support and local Account Executives
- Owns Strategic Relationships to identify new business opportunities and support local account activities
- Develops a strong understanding of Element and the growth markets for Aviti24
- Establishes and executes on strategies for obtaining new customers and maintains/grows existing customer accounts in order to meet and exceed revenue goals
- Develop short / medium- and long-term strategies that result in improving the opportunities to increase the sales pipeline of Aviti24
- Manages customer relationships pre-sale, including a strategy to develop long term business relationships
- Achieve the quarterly and annual sales as assigned
- Routinely and accurately forecast customer demand (i.e., product quantities and dollars, orders, shipments)
- Develops and manages the strategic sales plans and activities to develop the market for Aviti24; coordinates and communicates strategic business plans effectively to the team and working in conjunction with the SVP, Global Sales and Regional Directors
- Responsible for ensuring that Element Biosciences’ commitment to customer satisfaction is performed, delivered, and constantly improved
- Responsible for ensuring Salesforce.com (SFDC) is completely utilized, updated, and compliant with company policies and practices
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Biology along with 7+ years of experience of commercial (sales/marketing/business development) experience or equivalent experience within a laboratory setting plus customer facing experience
- Capital equipment sales experience required. Proven ability to sell sophisticated, high-throughput instrument platforms and associated consumables in a highly technical environment.
- Strong Genetics and Molecular Biology foundation. Preferred knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing, Single Cell and Spatial Biology
- Deep knowledge and relationships with decision makers/influencers and leading researchers in the sequencing and spatial biology community
- Demonstrates capability to present versatile and unique solutions during customer negotiations in order to establish mutually beneficial circumstances for the customer and Element
- Has the ability to learn, change, and gain from each experience to become more effective in subsequent sales scenarios
- Experience working effectively in a team environment to drive and create revenue opportunities
- Experience with wet lab training and building/support of KOLs
- Experience with strategic sales skills with proven ability to develop and grow key accounts is preferred
- Conducts presentations effectively, professionally and comfortably to customers/peers/management
- Strong desire to “win” and build customer relationships

Base Compensation Pay Range:
- $190,000 - $200,000
In addition to base compensation noted above, you will be eligible for stock options, sales commission, no cost health insurance plans, 401k with company match, and flexible paid time off.
Please note: Base compensation will depend on multiple factors, including geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
