We operate with a strong emphasis on risk management, operational excellence, and cross-functional alignment. Our teams are built on accountability, precision, and a shared commitment to delivering market-ready, investor-compliant loans.

Why This Role Matters

As the Assistant Vice President - Post Closing, you serve as a critical control point within the correspondent channel — acting as the final authority on loan purchase eligibility, quality, and compliance. This role directly impacts risk exposure, investor confidence, and loan salability. You will lead both strategy and execution across correspondent purchase reviews and post-closing functions, ensuring operational rigor while partnering cross-functionally to drive consistency, efficiency, and compliance at scale.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee correspondent loan purchase reviews across delegated and non-delegated channels.
  • Serve as the final decision-maker on loan purchase eligibility, suspense conditions, and defect resolution.
  • Ensure all loans meet investor, agency, regulatory, and internal policy requirements prior to purchase and delivery.
  • Provide executive oversight across post-closing operations, including collateral, final documents, MERS compliance, and custodian relationships.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex loan reviews, documentation issues, and post-closing challenges.
  • Partner with Capital Markets to align on loan purchase decisions, delivery timelines, and investor expectations.
  • Collaborate with Compliance and Legal to interpret guidelines, correspondent agreements, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze correspondent review data to identify trends, systemic risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Lead performance and quality discussions with correspondent lenders, including findings, remediation, and expectations.
  • Support internal audits, regulatory exams, and investor due diligence efforts tied to correspondent production.
  • Develop and enhance policies, procedures, and job aids governing correspondent review and post-closing workflows.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to teams supporting correspondent review and post-closing operations.

🎯 What You Bring

  • 10+ years of progressive mortgage operations experience, with deep exposure to correspondent lending.
  • Proven leadership experience managing correspondent loan purchase reviews across delegated and non-delegated channels.
  • Strong post-closing expertise, including collateral management, final documents, MERS processes, and custodian oversight.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of investor and agency guidelines, including FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA, FHA, VA, and USDA.
  • Demonstrated experience handling escalations involving complex or high-risk loan scenarios.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate risk, trends, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Advanced analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional partners and drive alignment across teams.
  • Experience working with loan origination systems, document platforms, and MERS (preferred).
  • Background in audit, quality control, or operational risk management (preferred).

Classification of protected categories is as follows:

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
