Quality Manager

What you will do:
As our Quality manager, you will develop and direct our team of dedicated quality engineers and technicians, guiding them through day-to-day operations within the business, working closely with R&D, Manufacturing, and procurement. You will be translating the strategy into concrete actions with the team, promoting the quality mindset throughout the company to ultimately ensure timely and high-quality deliveries of our tech to customers across the world 

You will be instrumental in coordinating efforts across various departments, you will be our Quality expert and able to share your experience and enthusiasm across the team, inspiring colleagues and ensuring continuous improvement. Your hands-on approach, resilience under pressure, and keen problem-solving skills will be essential in maintaining efficiency and keeping operations running smoothly. 

You are adaptable: at one moment, you pull together the entire team to resolve an acute escalation in production, and at another moment, you participate in setting up the development process for the seamless transition from the concept phase to mass production.  

 

Your key responsibilities:  

  • Quality Assurance Leadership: Lead the quality assurance team in implementing and maintaining quality management systems and processes ensuring Eleo remains ISO compliant. . 
  • Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with procurement and the supplier's quality team to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components. Establish and maintain supplier quality standards, conduct supplier audits, and resolve quality issues with suppliers as needed. Drive supplier development initiatives to improve quality, reliability, and delivery performance. 
  • Quality Control Leadership:  Setting up and managing measurement systems and inspections such as inbound quality inspections, in-process inspection and Out of Box Quality Inspections Investigate root causes of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions to address them effectively.  
  •  Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, test results, and corrective actions taken.  . Develop and maintain quality metrics to monitor performance and drive improvements in, for example, product quality and consistency. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance manufacturing processes, reduce defects, and improve overall quality and efficiency using methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma. Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization through training, coaching, and recognition programs. 

Requirements & qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in engineering, quality management, or related field preferred. 
  • Ability to lead, motivate, develop and build teams. 
  • 5-7 years of experience in quality engineering within a scaling manufacturing environment. 
  • Proven track record in meeting targets and ensuring compliance. 
  • Experience setting up and auditing a QMS based on ISO/IATF 
  • Proactive, effective communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, tools, and methodologies. Including ERP systems (8D – SPC – APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) (Production Part Approval Process) – PFMEA – DFMEA Etc.) 
  • Experience with quality inspection techniques, equipment, and standards. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions and work well under pressure 
  • Lean Six Sigma green or black belt
