Snr. Mechanical Engineer

At Eleo, we aspire to be one of the world’s leading off-highway battery pack specialists. Backed by Yanmar, our battery solutions are driving our customers towards net-zero emissions. We do more than build batteries, we’re paving the way for a more sustainable future.

Our pioneering spirit drives us to innovate at every step, delivering the best results possible. We’re a fast-growing, young company with a vibrant culture of innovation and collaboration where every voice counts and every idea is valued.

Thriving at bringing together diverse minds and talents, we achieve our shared goals dynamically. Making a difference is meaningful and exciting for us, as we aim to balance personal ambition with collective achievements. Our team is equipped with the tools to help create a cleaner and electrified future.

Are you ready to join our mission to enable widespread electrification of off-highway equipment and vehicles?

What you will do:

You will join a highly motivated team that is developing and growing our mechanical engineering capability. At Eleo we build our innovative battery systems using our own in-house developed battery modules and controllers.

As a member of our Mechanical Engineering team, you will design and optimize these building blocks and our battery pack technology. As a self-starter and experienced engineer, you dive into the challenges we face, investigate the root causes, think of concepts, discuss them, and design the right solution. You seek the best solutions to meet the mechanical and electrical requirements while still staying compact, safe, and cost-efficient, of course always considering the time constraints.

As a senior mechanical engineer in our R&D team, you will take a leading role in the design process, steering the team to diverge and converge when needed. You are a natural influencer and motivator and will lead the realization of a specific part of mechanical design. In close cooperation with the (sub)system architect you make sure that the mechanical design integrates successfully in the overall system, resulting in a product that meets the requirements. You will also have a big part to play in the growth and development of the way we work and the teams we are building, including mentoring, and supporting junior engineers. This will have a positive impact on our overall mechanical R&D team capabilities.

You are experienced and a very capable user of CAD design tools, mechanical analysis and familiar with design and development principles. Together with the team you will develop our next generation of battery technology systems.
