What will you do:
Our ideal candidate is an electrical engineer (PCB Design) with 3-5 years of experience in PCB design. You would have worked in a small/medium or scaling company and have a broad range of responsibilities and autonomy within your role. It is essential that you have deep experience with the full process of developing a PCB, which has successfully entered mass production.
You will join a highly motivated team that is developing and growing our electrical engineering capability. At Eleo we build innovative battery systems using our own in-house developed battery modules and controllers. Initially, you will be working together with the electrical engineering team on bringing our current generation of the product to market. This means mainly verification of the PCBs in development and helping with the redesign for mass production. Once this is finished you will be developing our next generation products and technologies.
Your key responsibilities:
Development: As an electrical engineer and PCB designer at Eleo you will contribute to the development of electronics for battery packs. The electronics in the Eleo battery system monitor the state of the battery and keep the battery safe.
Design: You will be responsible for selecting components on the PCBs, working on the schematic and PCB layout Using Altium and LTspice.
Testing & Verification: You will be responsible for developing and working with the test plans for our PCBs, also verifying your design work. You enjoy and take pride in overcoming challenges derived from testing and ensuring the accuracy of measurements, always making a positive contribution, and helping to improve lifetime and reliability of the electronics under high current, high voltage, and high temperature conditions.
Teamwork: You will be working on the PCBs together with two other engineers. Also engaging with the wider Eleo team, you thrive having a broad range of responsibilities for the products you are working on, and enjoy being empowered to act and supported to deliver.
Requirements & qualifications:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in PCB design in a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to convert concepts into a detailed PCB design that can be mass produced.
- Ability to drive design challenges to a conclusion, together with a team of engineers.
- Experience in ALTIUM or LTspice or similar tools
- Experience with certification (EMC – LVD – UL) would be preferred
- Previous experience on Battery systems is preferred.
- Good conceptual and analytical thinking.
- Residing in the Netherlands and fluent in English.
