
Process Automation Intern

Location:
Hybrid Role: Basecamp, Broomfield - The summer intern program will last 10 weeks: from June 1 – Aug. 7.
Employees who are able to perform the essential functions of their jobs away from an Elevations location may do so with the expectation that they are onsite at least fifty percent of the time over a two-week pay period.
Summary/Objective:
The Business Process Automation Analyst Intern gains exposure to the end-to-end business process automation lifecycle within a financial institution through guided, hands on learning. The intern supports experienced automation analysts by assisting with business process understanding, documentation, analysis, testing and configuration of low risk automation solutions while developing foundational skills in process improvement, automation tools, and stakeholder collaboration.
Essential Functions include:
- Supports process automation initiatives by assisting with business process understanding, requirements gathering, process documentation, and project artifacts under the guidance of senior analysts. Participates in project meetings as a learner and contributor.
- Assists in creating process maps and documentation for existing and proposed workflows. Learns how automation solutions are designed by working alongside experienced analysts and developers.
- Assists with the configuration and testing of simple, low risk automations using Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Jack Henry Enterprise Workflow tools under close supervision. Supports system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) and validation efforts.
- Creates and maintains clear documentation for processes, automations, and testing results to support knowledge sharing and future enhancements.
- Learns basic troubleshooting and issue identification concepts and assists in investigating issues with implemented solutions under supervision. Completes assigned training and learning activities related to automation tools and methodologies.

Required Skills, Education and Experience:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics or related field.
- Strong interest in process improvement, automation and technology.
- Ability to understand, document and ask questions about business processes.
- Analytical mindset with willingness to learn new technical concepts.
- Effective written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills, Education and Experience:
- Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint or similar automation tools through coursework or personal projects.
- Basic understanding of business analysis concepts, such as process mapping or workflow analysis.
- Basic familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) concepts.
Work Environment:
Elevations uses multi-factor authentication to keep our data safe. As such, a personal smart phone is a requirement for employment with us. This job operates in an office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment.
Physical Requirements:
Sitting frequently, walking occasionally, use of hands frequently, hearing constantly, talking frequently, exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
