Job Description – VDI Consultant (Supplemental IT Resource)
Overview
The Supplier will provide one (1) consultant to function as a supplemental resource within the Customer’s existing IT organization. This resource will operate under the sole direction of the Customer and support the sites identified in the Statement of Work (SOW).

• vSphere Hypervisor (ESXi)
• vCenter
• Horizon Client
• Liquidware Profile Unity
• Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
• GitLab (DoD instance)
• GitLab 3.1.1.1 VDI Performance Optimization & Automation
• SolarWinds (VDI Dashboard)
• Aria Suite
• Terraform
• Ansible

Responsibilities
Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
• Develop and optimize the existing SolarWinds VDI dashboard for real-time performance monitoring.
• Manage VDI images, ensuring secure Gold Image baselines with required security agents and optimized graphics settings.
• Document baseline images for consistent management and troubleshooting.
• Implement Microsoft Power STIG to improve DoD STIG compliance.
• Configure and maintain Horizon Desktop/Infrastructure for improved memory reservation, UAG redundancy, and profile management.
• Optimize paging files and enhance reliability of virtual desktop environments.
User Profile & Automation Management
• Adjust and manage Liquidware Profile Unity for improved load times and profile stability.
• Integrate Terraform with GitLab for documented and deployable infrastructure configurations.
Network Security & Authentication
• Collaborate with the team to review and enhance Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and 802.1X authentication implementations.
• Ensure seamless workstation integration and authentication to secure and manage network access.
• Develop and optimize Cisco ISE rules in alignment with government cyber task orders.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$90,000-140,000
