Eliot is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Developmental DIsabilities and Brain Injury Service department. Our services offer a person-centered continuum that provides innovative and high quality residential programming to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as well as brain injuries. Services are designed to educate and support each individual in their goals for wellness, social and vocational growth.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will assess the needs of clients and provide customized interventions in areas such as self-care, sensory integration, cognitive and executive functioning, social skills, community integration, etc. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years experience working with this specific population.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess the needs of Persons and provide customized interventions in the following areas; Self-care, sensory integration, cognitive and executive functioning, social skills, community integration and/or adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
  • Act as a resource to provide support and education to persons served, their families and other supports, about the person's condition and needs.
  • Provide training, education, and intervention about the evolving needs of persons served
  • Facilitate communication among team members and with external providers to ensure coordinated care

Qualifications:

  • Licensed as an OTR/L by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Allied Health
  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy preferred
  • Experience working with adults with cognitive, intellectual or developmental disabilities
  • Valid Massachusetts Drivers License

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm/9am-5pm

Annual Salary

$69,680 - $69,680 USD
