Eliot is seeking an empathetic Family Partner to join our Comprehensive Community Treatment Program in our Outpatient Clinic. Eliot's Outpatient Clinic provides evidence-based evaluation, counseling, and medication management, care coordination, recovery coaching and peer support for children, families and adults with mental health and substance use needs.

As a Family Partner, you will assist families by drawing on your own lived experience related to children with special and/or mental health needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to engage and support individuals and families from culturally and economically diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities:

  • Support parent/caregiver in meeting the needs of youth through educating, supporting, coaching, modeling and guiding, utilizing the empowerment model
  • Act as a liaison and advocate between family and mental health/educational system
  • Educate parent/caregivers/family partners to state/local networks and links to community resources and treatment providers.  
  • Provide side by side interventions to families in the community that focus on problem solving, skills training, modeling behavior, optimism and encouragement. 
  • Participate in stabilization and triage supports/evaluations in the community focused on developing in-home supports to youth and families during a behavioral health emergency, with a primary focus on assisting the parents/ caregivers.

Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a human services field preferred.
  • At least one (1) year experience working with children, adolescents or transition age youth and families.
  • Must be a parent, guardian or caregiver of a youth with behavioral health needs. Ability to communicate with other parents in a supportive manner.
  • Valid Massachusetts Drivers License

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

Hourly Rate

$23.08 - $23.08 USD
