Eliot is seeking a supportive and dedicated Family Partner to join our Urgent Care team in our Community Behavior Center. Eliot’s innovative Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) program serves as a single entry point for mental health and substance use services for youth, families and adults. The Family Partner plays an active role in the mission of the CBHC services providing strengths-based and solution focused support to youth and families with a primary focus on assisting the parents/caregivers.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide side by side interventions to families that focus on problem solving, skills training, modeling behavior, optimism and encouragement.
  • Participate in the development of treatment plans for each family in which you are working with including triage/urgent care services and CBHC team-based service.
  • Participate in stabilization and triage supports/evaluations in the community focused on developing in-home support to youth and families during a behavioral health emergency, with a primary focus on assisting the parents/ caregivers.
  • Assist family partners/parents/caregivers in meeting the needs of youth through educating, supporting, coaching, modeling and guiding. Act as a liaison and advocate between family and the mental health/educational system.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in a human services field
  • At least one(1) year experience working with children, adolescents or transition age youth.
  • Must be a parent, guardian or caregiver of a youth with behavioral health needs.
  • Experience working collaboratively with state agencies, consumer advocacy groups and behavioral health facilities. 
  • Drivers license and reliable transportation required to visit families in the program
  • Bilingual and bicultural skills are a plus.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

 

Hourly Rate

$25.48 - $25.48 USD
