Eliot Community Human Services is seeking a Human Resources Administrator. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an organization committed to making a lasting impact on individuals and communities across Massachusetts, while also advancing your career in human resources.
This role provides the opportunity to develop expertise and build a strong foundation in areas that are essential to a progressive HR career, including credentialing and workforce standards, employee relations support, and HRIS management. The ideal candidate for the Human Resources Administrator position is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing sensitive information. They possess strong communication and multi-tasking skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment. They support the agency’s HR operations while fostering respectful, effective working relationships across diverse teams.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and process all employment termination documentation and employment verifications.
- Administer unemployment insurance claims, including gathering required information and responding to portal inquiries.
- Process and track division-specific background checks (CORI, DCF, fingerprinting, RMV, OIG, EPLS) for new hires and current staff.
- Interface with candidates and new hires in the process of obtaining background checks.
- Collaborate with management to provide required background check information for licensing audits and accreditation requirements.
- Coordinate and manage waiver request forms, approvals, and tracking expiration dates in accordance with agency policy.
- Develop and maintain proficiency in the agency’s current HRIS software.
- Provide HR support and customer service to staff and external providers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, Human Resources or related field required.
- High School diploma with significant relevant experience will also be considered.
- Minimum of two years of experience in human resources or compliance.
- Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Familiarity with UKGPro and Workforce Dimensions is a plus.
Schedule: Primarily in-person, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, with some schedule flexibility.
Hourly Rate
$24.03 - $28.84 USD
