Senior Manager, User Experience

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Manager, User Experience to lead and evolve our UX practice, delivering intuitive, elegant, and effective experiences across Elite’s legal SaaS platform. This role will drive strategic design direction, elevate user-centric thinking across the company, and lead a team of UX professionals working on high-impact products used by some of the world's top law firms.

As a key leader in the Product organization, you will collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success to shape and execute our vision for seamless and differentiated user experiences in a complex, regulated environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • UX Strategy & Vision: Define and evolve the UX strategy aligned with Elite’s business goals and customer needs. Champion design thinking and user-centered methodologies across the organization.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of UX designers. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders to influence product vision, roadmap, and delivery through the lens of UX best practices.
  • Design Execution: Guide the creation of wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and final UI designs. Ensure consistency and quality across all product touchpoints.
  • Research & Insights: Oversee UX research activities to deeply understand user behavior, needs, and motivations. Use qualitative and quantitative insights to inform design decisions.
  • Operational Excellence: Establish and refine scalable design processes, tools, and standards. Promote design system adoption and governance.
  • Advocacy: Be the voice of the user within the company and advocate for accessibility, usability, and design excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall goals and objectives of the department/company

What You’ll Need:

  • 8+ years of experience in UX design with 3+ years in a leadership role, ideally in a SaaS or enterprise software environment.
  • Proven success designing for complex workflows, preferably in legal, fintech, or highly regulated industries.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing strategic UX thinking, elegant solutions, and measurable impact.
  • Experience managing and mentoring design and research professionals.
  • Deep understanding of UX principles, design systems, accessibility, and responsive design.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
  • Exceptional communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in Agile or scaled Agile environments.
