Job Description:
We’re looking for a high-performing B2B Collections Specialist to join our Accounts Receivable team and play a critical role in our cash flow operations. In this role, you’ll directly engage with international business clients via phone and email, resolving payment delays, clearing account discrepancies, and ensuring invoices are collected in a timely manner. Clear, professional English communication, both written and verbal, is essential, as you'll be representing our company and negotiating payment solutions.
What You’ll Do:
- Monitor aging reports and proactively manage outstanding B2B receivables.
- Initiate contact with customers via phone, email, and mail to pursue payment on overdue accounts.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all collection activities and client communications.
- Negotiate payment terms and settlements in line with internal policies and customer situations.
- Collaborate with billing, customer service, and sales teams to resolve invoice or payment disputes.
- Send account statements, dunning letters, and formal collection notices.
- Review account history and customer risk profile to support collection strategies.
- Escalate unresolved or high-risk accounts to management or third-party agencies.
- Ensure adherence to applicable collection laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Provide reports on collection status, trends, and progress to targets.
- Support AR and finance teams with ad hoc tasks and projects as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall goals and objectives of the department/company.
What You’ll Need:
- High School Diploma required; college coursework or certification in accounting/finance is a plus.
- Minimum 3+ years of B2B collections or accounts receivable experience, preferably in a fast-paced or international environment.
- Proven success managing a high volume of open accounts and achieving collection goals.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with excellent follow-through and accountability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with accounting and collection platforms (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Tesorio, or similar).
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively across departments.
- Proficiency in English at a B2+ level or higher (CEFR), with the ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken formats.
