Position Overview
We are seeking a General Manager for our ANZ region to lead our fast-growing legal technology business. The GM will be accountable for the ANZ P&L, driving growth and ensuring outstanding outcomes for our clients. This is a critical leadership role, responsible for uniting Sales, Solution Architect, Delivery, and Customer Support under one vision and representing our company in the LegalTech ecosystem across Australia and New Zealand.
This role requires the individual to be based in the Sydney, Australia time zone (AEDT/AEST).
Responsibilities
- Own ANZ revenue growth and retention targets (new ARR, renewals, and expansions)
- Build, report and manage the sales pipeline and forecasting accuracy
- Build relationships with law firms, corporate legal departments, and associations
- Strengthen brand visibility and thought leadership in the ANZ LegalTech ecosystem
- Own the ANZ P&L; manage revenue growth, margins, and costs
- Partner with global product and marketing to adapt offerings for the ANZ LegalTech market
- Help provide direction for implementation and support to ensure customer adoption and satisfaction
- Act as executive sponsor for strategic clients, resolving escalations as needed
- Directly manage ANZ employees across Sales, Delivery, and Support
- Drive a high-performance culture focused on accountability, customer success, and innovation.
- Provide coaching, development, and career growth opportunities
- Represent the company at industry events, LegalTech conferences, and client forums
- Deliver accurate forecasting, budget management, and reporting
- Align ANZ operations with global standards and processes
- Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and company objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management or related field (MBA preferred) or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of experience in general management, sales leadership, or regional business operations within the B2B SaaS or LegalTech industry
- Experience leading a full business unit or regional P&L, ideally in a VP or Country GM capacity within a B2B SaaS or Legaltech organization.
- Strong knowledge of professional services clients (law firms or corporate legal teams preferred).
- Demonstrated success in sales leadership and customer success.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in a global/matrix environment.
- Exceptional communication and executive presence with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to travel up >50% as business needs require
- Role requires the following physical capacity: Sedentary: primarily desk/computer work
