Position Overview

The Vice President of Commercial Growth and Partnerships, reporting to the Chief Product Officer, is responsible for shaping and executing Elite’s commercial portfolio growth strategy across pricing, packaging, partnerships, and product line economics. This role ensures that product investments, pricing decisions, and partner strategy that translates into measurable ARR growth, margin expansion, and disciplined execution aligned with the Value Creation Plan (VCP).

This role leads the orchestration of portfolio and offering strategy, pricing architecture, ecosystem and partner programs, and cross functional commercial alignment across Product, Go to Market, and Finance. 

This role is accountable for financial performance of designated product lines in partnership with Product and Finance, while serving as a strategic integrator across teams to ensure commercial decisions are coherent, scalable, and consistently executed across the portfolio.

Responsibilities

P&L Ownership & Commercial Leadership

  • Drive financial performance of designated product lines, including ARR, retention, margin, and operating efficiency, in partnership with Product and Finance.
  • Partner with Finance and Product to build product-level P&L models, investment plans, and multi-year financial forecasts.
  • Own pricing and monetization strategy, including packaging and portfolio mix, and partner with Finance on pricing approvals.
  • Monitor product performance and lead corrective action plans to achieve growth and profitability targets.

Product Portfolio Strategy

  • Lead the integrated product portfolio strategy grounded in customer insights, competitive intelligence, and long-term market trends.
  • Define strategic adjacencies, expansion opportunities, and product-level transitions including cloud migration pathways.
  • Partner closely with Product Management to translate strategy into clear roadmap priorities and sequencing.
  • Establish portfolio governance frameworks that guide capital allocation, investment decisions and portfolio performance tracking.
  • Ensure product, pricing, partner, and commercial narratives support field effectiveness, partner enablement, and customer adoption.

Partnership Strategy & Partner Program

  • Define and own Elite’s global partnership strategy across technology, data, payments, services, and strategic alliance partners.
  • Design and scale Elite’s partner program, including partner tiers, enablement models, incentives, certification, and governance.
  • Identify and prioritize partnerships that accelerate product innovation, expand market reach, improve customer outcomes, and unlock incremental ARR.
  • Partner with Product, Technology, Sales, and Marketing to ensure partners are integrated into product roadmaps, GTM motions, and commercial packaging.
  • Establish commercial and operational models for co-selling, co-marketing, and joint solutions with partners.
  • Own partner performance metrics, including sourced and influenced revenue, attach rates, pipeline contribution, and partner ROI.
  • Serve as executive sponsor for strategic partners and alliances, managing senior-level relationships and escalations.
  • Ensure partnership strategy aligns with overall portfolio strategy, pricing models, and private equity Value Creation Plan (VCP).

Product Execution & Operating Discipline

  • Partner with Product Operations to reinforce rigor, transparency, delivery excellence, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Implement operating rhythms, KPIs, and reporting structures that improve predictability and execution quality.
  • Unblock product delivery issues and ensure teams have the clarity, support, and alignment needed to execute.

Strategic Sponsorship & Corporate Development

  • Serve as executive sponsor for product-related M&A and strategic partnerships, supporting opportunity assessment, due diligence, synergy modeling, and integration planning.
  • Drive strategic analyses on market dynamics, competitive positioning, ecosystem opportunities, and emerging threats or partnerships.

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Build and lead a high performing team over time as the function evolves, intentionally developing future leaders through focused coaching, hands on mentorship, and structured capability building.
  • Cultivate a culture grounded in strategic rigor, commercial accountability, and deep customer orientation, ensuring decisions drive measurable business impact.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and company objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of senior leadership experience in product strategy, corporate strategy, partnerships, or commercial strategy leadership within enterprise SaaS.
  • Experience with AI technology and commercial strategy.
  • Experience working in or closely with the legal technology industry in a high-growth SaaS environment is preferred, with familiarity across law firm workflows and enterprise sales cycles.
  • Demonstrated experience owning or influencing P&L performance, including ARR growth, margin optimization, and product-level financial planning.
  • Proven success developing and executing portfolio strategy, including investment prioritization, lifecycle management, and multi-year product vision.
  • Deep expertise in pricing, monetization, and packaging for subscription-based SaaS products.
  • Demonstrated experience building and scaling strategic partnerships or partner programs, including technology alliances, commercial partnerships, or ecosystem-led growth motions.
  • Strong background shaping or partnering on go-to-market strategy across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.
  • Strong financial modelling capability and ability to convert insights into strategic recommendations for executive stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence outcomes at the ELT and board levels.
  • High executive presence with exceptional communication skills, capable of simplifying complex concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Strong track record leading and developing high-performing teams across strategy, operations, partnerships, or product disciplines.
  • Comfortable operating in high-growth, transformation, or PE-backed environments with evolving priorities.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, drive clarity, and make data-informed decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to travel up 25–50% as business needs require.
  • Role requires the following physical capacity: Sedentary: primarily desk/computer work.
