Senior Developer (C++)

This is a C++ position. 

Overview: As a Senior Developer at Elk, your role is vital in defining our trading technology. This position requires technical prowess, strategic insight, and leadership, involving complex system development, technology optimization, and mentorship.

We consider our developers to be a profit center and their compensation packages are structured identically to our trading teams with revenue shares tied to the success of the firm. This makes the opportunity here unique in terms of upside for a software engineer. Engineers work here for the opportunity to have a total compensation package with significant upside and revenue sharing and the opportunity to work on diverse projects.

REQUIRED: PREVIOUS SIGNIFICANT EXPERIENCE AT HFT TRADING FIRM

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of advanced trading systems.
• Enhance and scale our technology across markets.
• Work closely with traders to translate needs into solutions.
• Mentor junior developers and advocate for continuous learning.
• Stay updated with industry trends to keep our technology at the forefront.

Ideal Candidate:

• 4 years experience in software development in high-frequency trading.
• Skilled in C++(17/20/23), Python, Linux
• A strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset.

IMPORTANT:

This is a C++ position. 
You MUST have experience at an HFT shop
You MUST have 3 years at a single firm
You MUST be willing to work at our NYC office
